Since I already played DA I had used Deathwing previously, and had thought about making a Deathwing army also but have not got round to it till now.

I already had a Squad sporting two thunder hammers/storm shields armed termies, two lightning claw armed termies and one with assault cannan/chainfist. To make the start of the army they were split up and with more termies made into a squad of lightning claws and a squad of thunder hammers.

These are to be the rest of the Thunder Hammer Squad, the origional 2 will eventually be replaced as they are really badly painted. They are missing their Storm Sheilds as it will then be easier to paint them!

OK, so here is the finished Belial:

I had hoped to pin his arms so that he could be given all the different options, alas it did not work out!
Next up is the Termie with a searchlight mounted on his armour,still a WIP as I need to use some GS on him to clean up some gaps.

And finally my DA dreadnaught which is in until I can accquire a Venerable dreadnaught (I have my eye on the forgeworld one!! )





I painted the arm white as if it was like that from a hasty battlefield repair! As always click on the images to then zoom on them, camera doesn't take very good close up pictures!

Be warned that this may not be updated for as long as a week as I have school and work to do, that coupled with my swimming training will leave me no time.

This is nice. Do you not have a macro setting on your camera. That will allow you to get much more detailed shots. You probs already know that though.

Anyway, looks good so far. I particually like the Dread.

This is the searchlight terminator, has no effect in games but looks cool!!

I'm not to sure on how to paint the light so any tips /directions are needed!

Belial looks good - I hope to eventually do a Warboss in mega armour like that for Da Ork Angelz (The current warboss, in 'eavy armour, already has the wings and cloak)

The Deathwing are feeling like unforgiven right now all neglected and stuff also is there any other deathwing armys here on dakka?

There are some mould lines visible on Belial's inner arms, and you wouldn't be able to see it if not for the close up you took of him, so do not lose too much sleep over it, but don't forget to file them down in the future, it detracts from your solid paint job.

Thanks for that, I will look into filing it down! Also any tips on how to get clean sharp edges with greenstuff is wanted!

If you let the GS harden a little, you can file it down however you like the same way you would file plastic, white metal, or resin. I SUCK at forming GS before it hardens, i liken it to working with already-chewed bubblicious. So i ALWAYS just put down a big glob, work it into the general shape i want and then file it back down into more detailed shapes.

Looking good Dread like the colour you got on your deathwing termies.
Just dont forget to wash the metal with Black/brown and alot of water. It gives the metal more life. And try to mix tin bitz and boltgun metal, that's how I made my metal if you like that look.

Its looking good atm. Not sure about the rather large searchlight, maybe you can convince me with the paintjob!
