I'm thinking of making an army of imperial guard with cadian troops but tau vehicles. Which tau vehicles would be best suited to count as imperial guard vehicles size wise.

If you were to be doing extensive conversion work to have a sleeker tank with a larger gun?
Fine, awesome.
A Leman Russ hull mounting a modified 'rail cannon'?
Awesome, it'd be something the Tau would do for their human auxiliaries.

But just using one set of models as another without any real reason strikes me as a flatout attempt to subvert the lesser rules of the Tau and get the power out of the Guard codex.
