Well this is about my Zombie Hunting force, the White Iron Marines. This being my 3rd Space Marine Chapter, I wanted to do something different. My first being Blood Angles and my second being Space Wolves, I wanted to do a more ranged Space Marine option. I personally love Zombie movies and Zombie games, and so with some crude Zombie missions being made, I wanted a Zombie Hunting force to play. They had to be ranges, for they do not wish to get close to the plague, but I also wanted them to survive if they ever did end up in that situation. To get a break from my ever growing Imperial Guard I chose a 3rd Space Marine Army. I want this one to be for both my special Zombie games, and to be a mobile ranged army for standard games.

Now for the Chapter colors, I have chosen to go with a colors that have meaning.
White: Faith, Hope, and Purity
Red: Courage, Hardiness, and Valor
Black: Sophistication and Power
Yellow: Honor

So the White armor of the Marines symbolized their Purity in body and soul, and their undying faith in the Emperor. Black is the standard trim color, all Marines, well most, will have black trim on their Armor. Yellow is the helmet color for my Sergeants along with a swap on their shoulder color scheme. Red is the color held for most courageous of marines. You will see some with a single red knee pad, for this chapter that is something like the Medal of Honor. And exclusively for the Chapter master is red trim.

Chapter Master Oliver Rite.

I wanted to expand on the fluff of the chapter so I ended up creating a Chapter Master in order to establish a base. At the time I created this model I had already started on the playable army. This guy is my creation to be a 'count as' model for Vulkan He'stan. I gave him everything he needs to have the same (ish) items as the GW Model. He has a Halberd that will do fine for a Master Crafted relic blade, the Imperial Eagle acts as the Mantle, and he has the heavy flamer attached to his arm. So I guess I will show you some pics I took during his construction.

In this chapter I wanted to introduce a new rank, something to give a bit more diversity in the ranks of the marines. I chose Vice, this rank is a step up from Brother, but still below Sergeant. They way this is signalized is by the classic sergeant should pad color swap but not the sergeant helmet color. It would look like the fellow below. Now the purpose of this guy is to have leadership inside my combat squads. He acts as the squad leader when the squads break up into their smaller combat teams.

This is a Sergeant in the Chapter:

Because I wanted this chapter to be a fiercely loyal one. I had to put in a Chaplin. He is so far the only one, other then the chapter master, that does anything in close combat.

Even my Company Commander is made for range combat.

Now I do not consider a Dreadnought as a person but it is a, and the only, close combat vehicle in the army. The rest are Rhinos so far.

where am I? *looks around* Well i'm...errr...I...I...don't know!

That white is brilliantly crisp, I love the Vulkan "counts as" model. The only problem for the no combat theme for your army is that you need a Squad/character that can stand up to Typhus, the carrier of the Zombie plague, in combat!

Thank you, I was trying to go with a gunslinger look to him.

Would the Chapter Master not be good enough for Typhos? Well I am thinking of making 1 dedicated cc squad for the chapter... Nicknamed the butcher unti or something like that that would take care of any of the tough stuff.

If my friends would invest in an idea like that then maybe... but the primary opponent for these guys are a city full of VC zombies sense they are easy to come by and double up as a playing army for WHF

My first thought: "... and white shows blood splatters so well too"

Lovely white armor, digging the Vulkan counts-as. Nice sgt too, yellow helmet + white armor reminds me of the Storm Lords, a chapter I always kinda liked.

Is the dread done? It might be the pic, but he looks a bit unfinished yet. Perhaps it's because white power armor can be black-lined readily and so really pop, while vehicles aren't / don't?

I could go with that... but so far the back story is they were in a massive war with Nergle marines and won the war, but lost all their homes, so what is left now wanders the galaxy to rid the filth

I like your painting style. Awesome scheme to.

There's just too few shotguns in the army

Gee, man, thanks...

But you know how hard I have been working on my guardsmen of late... I should have more Zombie Hunter soon... and some with the infilTRATOR touch to them.
