So I'm trying to get into flames of war, today I picked up my first army book "Fortress Europe". I want to start a late war U.S. armored rifle company. The problem is I have never played a game, and I have no idea what's good and what's not. could you please help me out?

Admiral Chester W Nimitz wrote:The war with Japan had been re-enacted in the game rooms here by so many people and in so many different ways, that nothing that happened during the war was a surprise.

My Cold War NATO IG, love to know what you think

Well US troops are good at having the best of everything , Like the trusscot trot, stabilizers. time on target, and the M-1 ....

You want too get a good mix of armour and infanty and some artilery in the mix..... air power is over rated and you can never rely on it... but do take anti air craft units\

my US Tank company is Hq two shermans
three companys of 4 shermans
one light tanke company of 5 staurts
and then i fill out the rest with infantry and scout units
