SO - any thoughts on this list? I don't have a Karl Franz or a Griffon or a Pegasus, so all my mounted models are on horses.

You have an arch lector without a speculum. Is that just a mistype? If not, put it on him immediately. Without it the popemobile loses its bite. Remember that 'Ardboyz is open lists, so you can't bluff that you have the speculum.

Other than that, looks alright. You've got a fighty knight unit, a popemobile and a steamtank, then a line of war machines and some ranked units to follow up and be static res. Sounds like you are set to go. I'd grab another steam tank and drop a unit and a half or what have you, but that's basically a good looking army.

All in all, fact is that Warhammer 40K has never been as balanced as it is now, and codex releases have never been as interesting as they are now (new units and vehicles and tons of new special rules/strategies each release -- not just the same old crap with a few changes in statlines and points costs).
