Inspired by Old Man Ultramarine, I re-created an old list i never had the gaw to build.
This will be a Word Bearers themed demon bomb list. Tell me what you think:

HQ: Dark Apostle (Chaos Lord with Unmarked Demon Weapon)
HQ: Winged Demon Prince

Troop: 10 CSM, IoCG, 2 plasma, in Rhino
Troop: 10 CSM, IoCG, 2 plasma, in Rhino

Elite: 5 Chosen with IoCG, 4 melta, in a Rhino w/ extra armor
Elite: 5 Chosen with IoCG, 4 melta, in a Rhino w/ extra armor

Fast: 3 Bikers with IoCG and 2Meltas
Fast: 3 Bikers with IoCG and 2Meltas

Summoned: 50 Lesser Demons split into 4 units

Total Points: 1998

The lord would run with one of the Chosen squads.
The bikers would turbo boost forward turn one; then move, summon demons, rapid fire/melta armor, assault, demons assault, all turn two.
The Chosen obviously go after armor
the troops capture and defend objectives. Against fast armies i would have the troops summon the small units of lesser demon to bolster their defense (demons may capture objectives as they count as troops)

this list is 1) fast, 2) can include 6 troop choices for objective capturing purposes if you split the 50 demons into 4 squads, and 3) has 12 meltas

I think this list can be min/maxed even more but i'm tired so lets hear the C&C!

Its either so bad no one wants to bother commenting or you are afraid of a challenge!

Why chosen in a rhino? they infiltrate, so I'd lose the rhinos and buff the squads.

Also 3 bikers can get fragged relatively quick, I'd choose either chosen OR bikers, probably the bikers, with beefed up squads.

one demon prince is usually a target, but two are scary, and can ususally get into CC. Also DP's don't have a personal icon, and so can't summon your lesser demons.

I know you probably don't want to go for dual lash, but lash can be awesome for demonbomb, as you can lash a squad into charge range of your demons the turn you summon them.

for a wordbearer's list, may i suggest the following:

Chaos Sorcerer - +bike+personal Icon+melta bombs+ warp time=165
Chaos Sorcerer - +bike+personal Icon+melta bombs+ warptime=165

6 Bikers +2 melta+chaos glory+Champion=243
6 Bikers +2 melta+chaos glory+Champion=243

10 CSM+2 melta+champ+rhino=220
10 CSM+2 melta+champ+rhino=220

Greater demon - 100
49 lesser demons- 637

total: 1993

I like khorne demonbomb lists better than Undivided, but hey, it's personal preference, right? the champions are for the greater demon, I know that 48 points is a lot to sacrifice for a greater demon, but if you consider the opportunity for a greater demon to hit turn 2, it's worth it.

I wish there was a wordbearer's think you could take that would make your demons come in quicker, but alas, those are apparently only for IG and eldar.

as an alternate, you could have 2 130 point DP's instead of the sorcerers, and 5 more lesser demons

I was under the impression that the squad was allowed to outflank even with the rhino...

My original list had a third squad of three. I think CSM bikers are over priced and I didn't want to dump too many points in them. I just want them to get the job done which is deliver a beautifully wrapped DEMON BOMB!

I agree whole-heartedly about 2 DPs vs. 1, however I wanted the Dark Apostle for fluffiness sake and I figured the DP would be more of a distraction than anything else. It would also be a nice buffer to the assault.

I agree again on both counts. Lash is great but I was trying to avoid it. Maybe that is silly. If I were serious about building the list it would be more of an option as I would want the list to be as competitive as possible. This same line of reasoning would also work in favor of taking 2 DP's.

I am really against using Greater Demons. I don't like sacking a champ and i'm under the impression that anything the GD can do, a DP can do better; and, when you consider the sacked model and reserve rolls, for comparable cost.

The Undivided marks were fluffy along with the Dark apostle. If I didn't care about fluff I would go the Dual Lash Prince route.

The reason I kept Meltas off the Troop selections is I assumed their primary role would be objective grabbing and therefore the rapid fire plasma at 12 inches would be a greater benefit then melta (although I loath 'gets hot')
