Why don't they just stick him in a dreadnought ... or better yet a titan, so they wouldn't have to sacrifice people everyday.

I think it's because the Emperor isn't a mere Space Marine, or even a Primarch, hence a Dreadnought is too puny.

Also, I think it's too big of a risk to loose the Emperor in battle, so maybe no titan.

Actually, while those who are attached to dreadnoughts are kind of in a coma or on the brink of death, the Emprah's injuries go far further than that.

But mostly, it would probably be due to the fact the he is the guiding light for the ships to navigate with.

They mention alot on the HH books how much they dont know about an Astartes body, and when an medic had to help Horus he had no idea about his Body.

The Emporers body is probaly the most complicated of the lot, alot more complicated then a Primarchs body.

No-one has seen a primarch in living memory and there the closest thing to the Emporer.

AAnnny ways, back on topic. I think that the only one who ever understood the primarch's bodies was Emps, and the only even able to fathom the Emperor's would be the primarchs, more spicificly, Dorn, he could have, but now that he's gone, I dont know who will fix the throne.

I heard a theory from a wh40k player that if the Emperor dies there is a possibility he might be reborn into the warp? or eye of chaos? not 100% sure exactly on the theory just remember him telling it to me back in my college days.

Anyone can elaborate on this? or is this total heresy

Essentially the Emperor cannot be moved from the golden throne, because it is the only thing keeping the Webway Gate he and the Mechanicum built in the Imperial Dungeons closed.

If he were to be removed (if that would be even possible) then you've got yourself a portal to the Warp right here on Terra.

And Koma, you're referring to the Star Child theory. Essentially, some folk believe that part of the emperor's soul is adrift in the warp, and the other part is chained to his body. There are some who believe that if he were to die, the two parts would converge in the warp and a new God (The Star Child) would be born. This would be the first step in the defeat of Chaos.

It's just a theory mind :p

ahhh interesting so the Star Child Theory is not officially supported?

And this Imperial Dungeon?? first time ive heard of it is this on Terra?

And is the Webway Gate the beacon for Imperial Navy to navigate by?

Omadon's Realm

The Star Child is the forming Emperor as God in the warp, it's from the original Realm of Chaos books. It alludes to the Emperor knowing all about the fall of Horus and that his long time in the big chair was all 'part of the plan' to allow him to build himself into a god in the warp.

When the time is right and the last vestiges of life pass from his mortal frame, the Star Child will awaken and a new Golden Age for humanity will begin.

At least, that's the plan from the ancient fluff.

Ugh, every time I see that "Imperial Webway" and "Golden Throne as Daemon Cork" stuff, it makes me sad... I weep for the silliness of it all...

Anyway, the Astronomicon is the other reason, though I'm not sure who was minding the store when the big E was out on Crusade too...

The webway project was what was keeping the Emperor from the great crusade, and then the reason that Lorgar felt abandoned, which led him to dabble with chaos, and turn the warmaster. (who woulden't be nessisary if he haden't wandered off for this "project") The reason that the Emperor abandoned his children was to develop a way to completly abandon the nessesity of warp travel. (beacuse geller feilds are overrated) Because humanity didn't have the benifit of wraithbone to make the webway constructs from, their sections had to be protected from deamons by the power of the Emperor. The golden throne was originally the control center for the webway before Dorn modified it. Apparently it was the only "Emperor sized" chair in the galaxy.

Something better? makes sense to me... The Emperor never informs humanity of the Chaos gods, completes the Imperial Webway, mankind has no need of Warp Travel, the Chaso Gods might as well not exist...

Maybe you were thinking he was in his dungeon cloning the most tactically brilliant human ever concieved, only he outflanked himself out of his test tube...

He needs to stay on the Golden Throne to keep the Webway Gate inside of it shut; someone needs to constantly be on there doing so and Malcador died after only being there for like a day; so the Emperor is the only one that can do it

Oh and of course, he needs to keep the Astronomican running.

Not Grimdark enough. Hunmanity needs to be constantly on the verge of major boning to keep things grimdark. I LOVE the looted emprah thing though! Maybe some real sneaky gits from da blood axes and deff skulz could do it without any 'umies knowin, and start messin with the astronomican! Imperial ships landing waaaay off course, psyker's heads exploxing everywhere, spehss mahrines being sent to attack eachothers homeworlds! it'd be total madness!

Then again, now that i gave it some thought, i bet all the orks sent to carjack the emprah would start infighting before they could aclompish the mission. The fight would naturally breakout when trying to decide who got to draw a mustache on the Emprah's face.

Here He is

The Emperor;

A supreme vision, a great dream, The Galaxy united with every man, woman and child safe from the evils of the void, alien, mutant and heretic. It is he, The Master of mankind, lord of earth, king of the stars, the Emperor.

Tartarus ;This sword was forged in the fires of earth’s molten core itself. The blade cuts through even the strongest armor with its fiery rage. Tartarus is a master crafted Relic blade that can be fired as a heavy flamer in the shoot phase.

Fist of Terra; this power fist crushes the life from any who are brave or foolish enough to come to close to the Emperor. The Fist of Terra counts as a Master crafted Power fist that causes Instant Death to any model that is wounded by it regardless of toughness. It also counts as a Chainfist against vehicles.
(The emperor can choose to use either weapon in the assault phase. This must be determined before any combats are resolved. He however cannot fire his heavy flamer in the shoot phase and use his power fist in the assault phase)

Martian Mantle ;This suit of armor counts as a suit of terminator armor that grants the emperor a 3+ invulnerable save.

Psyker Supreme; the emperor knows all the psychic powers available to Space Marine Librarians and he can use up to three per turn. The emperor is furthermore immune to perils of the warp; if a 12 is rolled the power simply fails.

Divine guidance due to his psychic abilities any units coming in by Deep Strike will only scatter D6 inches.

The Emperor Protects; The emperor is the imperium itself and all who stride by his side are filled with hope and courage as the blows of the enemy are deflected by an unseen force. All friendly models within 12 inches of the emperor receive a 5+ invulnerable save, Vehicles count as obscured, and may use his leadership for any tests they are required to take.

No enemy units may gain any leadership bonuses within 12 inches of the emperor. Well, it's sort of supported as a theory. The illuminati (regular people who have been possessed by greater daemons and defeated them with their minds) believe this, and since the connection between the warp and the human have been strengthened, (therefore a greater understanding of it) I wouldn't doubt them.

Also, I'd think the emperor would be WS/BS8, S7, and have MOAR abilities. I've got Sanguinius's (experimental rules) and he kicks this guy's ass (probably):

Sanguinius
Pts 750
Ws 10
Bs 5
S 7/8
T 6
W 6
I 7
A 7+1/+1*
Ld 10
Sv 2+/3+

Wargear: The blade encarmine, The Spear of Telesto(*makes one attack per turn).
The Blade Encarmine: The Blade Encarmine is a relic of the Blood Angels. Wielded by the Blood Angels First Chapter Master Belarus, the sword is said to only respond to those who carry the gene code of Sanguinius. The Blade Encarmine is a master crafted Power weapon which adds +2 strength +1 Initiative,
The Spear of Telesto In combat, the spear can emit a blast of energy which vapourises anyone who doesn't have the blood of Sanguinius in his veins. Sanguinius can swing once per turn at one enemy model in addition to any other attacks, it strikes at STR 8 and is a master crafted power weapon, if you hit the model place a small black with the hole centered over the hit model, all models touching and under are hit the blast is Str 5 Ap 3 and never effects Blood Angels (Including Sanguinius).

Blood drinker:It is said that Sanguinius used to drink the blood of his fallen enemy. Every time Sanguinius kills an enemy Independant character he gains 1 wound on a D6 roll of 4+ (note that he only gains a wound for each model not each wound).

Foresight: There is a legend that Sanguinius foresaw his own death to represent this Sanguinius can attempt to foresee the oncoming battle and attempt to avoid oncoming danger by predicting it. If he is reduced to 1 wound he can foresee the oncoming attacks and attempts to avoid them on 4+ before any saves are taken but after they have rolled to hit.

Wings of Sanguinius: Huge Angelic wings gifted to Sanguinous by the Emperor allow Sanguinius to move with Flight. He may enter the board using the Deep Strike special rule if it is in effect and, if unattended by a retinue, may make Hit and Run attacks. Sanguinius has a 12" assault range.

Loved By Blood Angels: Sanguinius Loves his men and would rather die than see them suffer and vice versa for his men. All Blood Angels are at leadership 10, gain +2 attacks on the charge.

THEN there's An'ggrath:

An'ggrath the Unbound 888 points
WS 10
BS 3
S 8
T 8
W 8
I 5
A 7
LD 10
Sv 2+

Fearsome: All units who take a leadership test after failed combat must do so at -2 leadership.

Daemonic Armor: 2+ Armor Sv, 4+ Invulnerable Sv.

Living Icon: He has an Icon (Khorne)

Daemonic Flight: Jump Pack movement

The Mark of Khorne: +1 Attack (in profile) Blood Frenzy

Rage of Khorne: +D3 attacks on the charge

Blood Frenzy: An'ggrath must charge if there is an enemy in range during the assault phase

Axe of Khorne: Any roll to hit of 6 gives you another attack (That's right, it is physically possible to give this guy INFINITE attacks.)

The Emprah needs to be more GRIMDARK and therefore have better stats. Make him 1200 points.
