So I have a minor problem: I'm wanting to play a US Para force in an upcoming tournament this weekend but I'm not be able to get my new copy of North Africa until I'm at the FLGS which will be minutes before the tournament. I need to have my tournament list made up before that. Can anyone tell me what the changes are between the US Paras in the old Africa book and the new North Africa book? Please? I already have the older version, Afrika, I just need to know what changes have taken place for force organization and points shifts so I can re-total my army lists to the new points and make sure it's still a legal force.

Just use the old book. Old FoW books aren't superseded by new ones.

Just use the old book.

Using Afrika doesn't really help me at all when the entire point is to be using a list from North Africa.

That's an awfully restrictive tournament you're attending.

Hopefully someone will know the changes (if any) and help you out.

Well it's supposed to be thematic, local "for fun" type event. I was trying to get my force inline with any adjustments needed so I wouldn't have to show up and suddenly rework my entire list due to some points change.

OK since I'm a good guy, here are the differences for the US para rifle co:
support platoons:
Only 1 tank platoon
Only 1 Armoured recom platoon
Only 1 (non para) rifle platoon or are anger platoon
Div support = air or field artillery

HQ, para rifle co and other optional bazookas now cost 30 points each instead of 25

1 para rifle squad = 125 points instead of 140, 2 is 225 instead of 240

Para MGs = 100 points per section instead of 125 points per section
Para mortar can only be taken as 2 sections costing 130 points instead of 150.
Para field arty is now 110/210 points from 110/205. 2.5 ton trucks are now +5 points for the platoon.
Para engineers are now HQ+weapons mandatory for 135 points, or 1 operating squad for 225 points.
Para AA is now 2 sections only at 115 points. Trucks are +5 points for the platoon.
Air support is 130 for limited, 95 for sporadic

Infantry stats are the same. Tanks costs are the same except stabilisers are +5 per tank, and m5a1 and m3 lee are different costs (+5 points total and -5 points total accordingly).

Thank you. I've been able to borrow a copy and make some notes as well.
