You could always print out the list of GW colors and draw them out of a hat. Nice thing about tau is just about any color works.

Somewhere in south-central England.

What did you do which didn't work?

Are you looking for a dramatic, heraldic colour scheme, or something more modern and 'realistic'.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Grey armour with a black bodyglove would be interesting...

I've found that lighter shades of whatever color tend to work better on the armor. My first color scheme way back when I started Tau was a really dark blue for the armor, but it just didn't quite work. A lighter blue on the armor made the cracks really stand out and worked much better. Like GMM said, pretty much any color works, but brighter armor tends to look better.

I've got 3 separate Hunter Cadres in my collection: The dark blue/light blue scheme, Orkhide shade cloth and Knarloc green armor scheme, and I'm currently working on the traditional Tausept Ochre/vomit brown scheme.

ive always thought it would be cool to paint a tau army like gundams. like white bodies with red feet/ heads and gold trim. I hope someone understands what im trying to say here.
