I've been playing a game of 40K and during it my rather amusing opponent begun quoting his army as it fought. "RED TRUKKS GO FASTA" he called as his Red Trukk sped across the battlefield demolishing everything that got in its way... (it took a group of terminators and my Librarian to take it out - beside the point).

I want to know what your favorite quote from Warhammer 4000 is and who has said it. If you have a quote you've made which you think would be spoken/shouted/or any other add them here.

The quote I chose seems to have a mystical feel, something almost sadistic which allows you to get an idea of the galaxies scope (if oyu know the basics of the background stories and concepts for 40K that is. So just always remember,
"The universe is a big place, whatever happens, you will not be missed..." (40K Rule Book)

If we're talking favourite quotes:

"Let them hide in their fortress. My crew could use the target practise"
"Victory does not always rest with the big guns. But, if we rest in front of them, we shall be lost"
Space Marine codex

"They believe we are at their mercy, Captain. Shall we begin the lesson?"
"Er...boss. Remember on Borsk when da sky caught on fire and we saw them comet-fings with da Emperor's boys in 'em? Well, here they come again...."
Planetstrike

An my absolute favourite quote..."My sword is the Emperors. I answer to no other man, living or dead", purely because one of my regular gaming companions used nearly those exact words (substitute 'the Emperors' for 'Emilys' and man for woman) when defending her honour from a group of marauding chavs.

RAW fight with gwar about wielding weapons. To me wielding means using, to him it means having.

So as not to derail another quote, from the spine of Dark Eldar "Pray they don't take you alive"

There are three quotes from the rulebook that I like:

"In any army, balance is the key to success. A commander who puts his faith in heavy weaponry alone will be outmanoeuvered. A commander who relies on close combat without support will lose his force to enemy fire. Each element must work in harmony, so that the effectiveness of the army is greater than the sum of its parts."

"Before committing your forces, examine the situation. Review your own strength, and that of the enemy. Remember your own objectives, and try to anticipate those of your opponent. He who fights without understanding the battle he is fighting places himself at a disadvantage."

"Do not strike until you are ready to crush the enemy utterly, and then attack without mercy, destroy every vestige of resistance, leave no-one to work against you."

Success is measured in blood; yours or your enemy's.

Never forgive, never forget.

A small mind is a tidy mind.

It is better to die for the Emperor than live for yourself.
