It is the Elysian Drop troop carrier

The 2 things sticking out have rolls of sitting Elysian in it.

I am not sure if this is the right section or not.

It was displayed with the new Elysian buggies and it was rumored to be an associated dropship. However the back section is clearly a scaled up land speeder so atm i personally not sure, but it was tagged on many forums as elysian.

I've read that it is supposedly that it is some sort of Raven Guard transport speeder since they are supposed to be in the next IA book. Could be rubbish though.

It has a SM landspeeder-style rear, along with landspeeder-style forward "anti-grav" detailing but other than that, no clue.

The name that was given to it is "Storm Eagle Lander", Raven Guard association.

Nothing to do with Elysians other than it's in the same volume of IA.

Probably the technique is you just slam it down wherever, and hope some of the troops survive. After all, there're plenty more where they came from.

Nononononono, Elysians don't fly in such ugly gak. That's something new for the Marines, the Storm Eagle drop ship. The sitting Elysians are for the interior of the Valkyrie and will hopefully be on sale soon.

You know, in our current pre-Dark Age of Technology, we have these magical devices called "cameras". It is entirely possible that this technology has been preserved and would still be utilized in the grimdark (tm) future of 40k.

Well, it's a SM vehicle, so if it's a S3 hit, and the occupants get their PA saves, the risk is hardly worth sweating over.

Obviously this is the new flying Land Raider Jervis has been raving about in Standard Bearer. The Land Raider Raider.

It's obviously an Astartes flyer and does look rather blah right now. However, the early pictures of the Reaver looked dull as well...and after they finished adding flair I was sold. So, we'll see how it pans out.

It's a WIP made of plasticard and soap from what I can tell - the concept sketches looked quite cool, and FW is nothing if not good at making cool looking vehicles.

Wait wait wait....

So what I'm gathering from this thread is that it is a Plasticard-Soap Land Raider Raider that does not allow the pilot to see the ground?

Sounds pretty solid to me.

On a serious note, anyone notice the back chassis resembles that of a Land Speeder?

Aircraft designers still pay a lot of attention to visibility from the cockpit, because the Mk.1 eyeball suffers a lot fewer system faults and downtime than electronic aids.

If anyone had listened to the description given by the sculptor on the BOLS link,
they would know that the Idea behind this is that the Pilot flies it into the side of a city/ship/fort/bastion/whatever, a
llows the aft to penetrate and the Marines get out of the front.

So it's an atmospheric boarding torpedo? Yay!

I'm thinking they've got a hatch underneath for when the pilot can't ram the landing zone. He can just bomb-bay them out the bottom. With a 3+ armor save they should bounce, right?

That really looks bad. Work in progress or not, they need to take that back to the workshop and kick whoever scrapped that together in the face for wasting resources.
