ok... now what would happen if...

1 ork WAAGH!!, all occupants from 1 eldar craftworld, 1 space marine chapter, 1 huge wab of tau, 1 scout hive fleet of nids, 1 regiment of imperial gaurd, etc, etc... you get the picture...

what would happen if they all got stranded on 1 huge planet...

what alliances would happen (if that is even possible)

or... who would win?

Space Marines. The good ones should always win.

Somewhere in south-central England.

I think the "forces of order" being the IG, Tau, SM and Eldar would combine against the forces of disorder being the Nids, Orks, Chaos and DE.

The forces of disorder probably wouldn't combine so tehy would be picked off individually.

The forces of disorder would then split into warring factions, unless any of them had learned respect and tolerance for each other, as the Ultramarines and Tau did at one stage.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

you didnt include chaos or DE.. or crons..

IG and marines could ally up and with their combined strength and zealousness proceed to take on the waaagh which would crush them utterly only to be consumed by the nids who would then attack the tau and crush the fish men, leaving the coward like eldar who have spent the entire time in their skimmers going 24" and the nids with no real Anti tank unable to stop the twenty years it would take for for the eldar to whittle them away.. but OH noooes new codex and then the eldar are crushed by tyrgons and such and then the tyranids without any way off the planet slowly starve to death leaving the chaos marines who got killed without anyone noticing and the DE who fled through the webway like the cowards they are and the winner is bob the necron who slept through all of it.

As long as they got the chance to release spores, who ever won would end up fighting orks for quite a while. Can they call in reinforcements? I think it just depends on the skill of the generals really. It'd have to take some kind of tactical genius to win a war like that......

Either Tyranids or Necrons. Tyranids destroy all the biological stuff on the planet basically. When they're done there wouldn't even be any atmosphere left for them.

First they'd take the plant life with their spores then they'd start collecting biomass. A little while later the larger Tyranids would be along to finish it all off.

Eldar would probably find a way to either trick all the others into fighting each other, or find a way to get off the planet. Space Marines would just go around killing any Xenos, Heretic or Mutant. They could possible team up with Eldar or Tau, but they would just as likely not at the same time. If they did team up with Eldar, it would only last until not being allies with the Space Marines was more beneficial.

Inquisition would probably order an Exterminatus on the planet though as there are way more enemies there than allies. They've sacrificed companies before haven't they? Not entire chapters though, but I guess if it wasn't a major one they wouldn't really hesitate.

I think an entire craftworld vs say the marine chapter is a litte unfair and a Nid scout fleet isnt the same a proper invasion fleet.

Also define an Ork Waagh.

And a regiment of Ig I think is in for a real beating

Waaaaaaghs are usually 3 million strong or so IIRC.

I gotta go iwth not-u here though, exterminatus FTW.

What about a tasty chaos rift opening up.
Potentially innumerable daemons?

well... if a imperial regiment (the full thing... like entire Cadia) was stranded on a planet (of infinite size) and a rift opened up in the center (that cant be closed) and infinite numbers of deamons come out of it to kill them... now... if they had NO reinforcments or and escape route... how long could they survive?

also how long would the other races survive... e.g. a entire eldar craftworld, an entire space marine chapter or a entire or WAAAGH, etc etc

and which race would last the longest?

The Inquisition would see it as one regiment, one chapter and some small Inquisitional forces as a trade for an entire Craftworld, Waaagh, Hive Fleet, Tau Cadre and more importantly Tomb World. They use Exterminatus on Tomb Worlds normally, they would probably do the same for this planet. Then set up a Regiment or a Chapter to guard the rift to stop it from becomming too much of a problem.

There are more enemies there than allies to them and that would be worth the Exterminatus to them, as they already do that to the Tomb Worlds anyway.

Im not sure the OP mentioned the Inq.
Exterminatus can only be launched from orbit but his original question was "what if these armies were stuck on a planet together?"

Why are people bring exterm and the Inq into this?
Sure if they are on the planet too, they can fight away but launching the big 'un isnt feasible according to the original scenario. Its going off the point and frankly ruining the hypothesis imo.

Its akin to saying, what if a Ctan God showed up and ate the whole planet (yes I know they eat stars, but you get the point).

If every army was stuck on a planet. The inquisition has it's own army set up. But, on second thought they might be hesitant with the Ad Mech's Titan legion there.

Agreed but where does exterminatus come in?
That implies they have a ship in orbit, which no other army has, otherwise its not "all armies on one planet", its "all armies on one planet with orbital reinforcement".

Sorry for my nitpicking but I just dont get it.

I figured they would try it because of how they seem to do it when a planet becomes unwinnable. They seem to do it by default for Tomb Worlds as well, if a lot of Necrons are stuck there it's likely a Tomb World.

As for Chaos, they wouldn't do anything anyway. The Hive Mind can cancel them out, they might have been able to do something before they showed up, but basically they're just going to be a bunch of heretics there, cut off from the Chaos Gods.

I wouldn't think that every single thing of every army in the 40k universe would be there either just full armies like an entire IG Regiment or SM Chapter. They would probably at least have their ships still in orbit and then there would probably be the Imperial Navy as well, they really can't fight on the planet itself, rather from orbit instead.

Is this one GT army per Codex? Imperials WIN!

Ultramarines ally with:
- Witch Hunters
- Daemonhunters
- Black Templars
- Blood Angels
- Dark Angels
- Imperial Guard
- Space Woofs

That's 8 armies right there, against:
- Chaos Marines allied with Chaos Daemons
- Eldar allied with Dark Eldar
- Necrons
+ Nids!
- Orks
- Tau

Imperials start with an 8:7 advantage, simply from having more Codices.

Following traditional Fluff, the Eldar join the Imperials against (Chaos / Necrons / Orks), so it's really 10:5.

If Tau are smart, they follow the Eldars...

Anyhow, Spaz Marinz are the win.
