do nid fleets really disregard the rule that says that you cant launch more ordinance than they have launch bays?. does that mean they can launch unlimited amounts of ordinance?

Tyranids disregard the limit of having the SAME amount of ordnance in play as they have launch bays. Some players took this to mean they could have limitless ordnance but they can only have TWICE the ordnance in play as they have launch bays. I dont remember exactly where this is in the rulebooks, but i have come across it in several BFG forums. It still seems like a big advantage to me.
