hey all, i am new here.  i planning on to mkae a 2000 point army formy first fantasy army.  i have not much fantasy experience.

heres my beastman list for 2000 points, which i might enter in tournaments.

beastlord w/ Slaughter's Blade, Crown of Horns, armour of damnation and mark of slaanesh 205pts

Aspiring Champion w/ blade of blood, pendant of slaanesh, bared steed and mark of slaanesh 171pts

bray-shaman w/  lv2 upgrade bray-staff and dispel scroll 141pts

5 knights of chaos w/ full command 215pts

beast herd
    10 gors w/ full command
     8 ungors        137pts
beast herd
    10 gors w/ full command
     8 ungors        137pts
beast herd
    10 gors w/ full command
     8 ungors        137pts
Tuskgor Chariot w/ scythes 85pts
6 warhounds 36pts

12 daemonettes 180pts
6 daemonettes on steeds 180pts

3 minotaurs w/ great weapon 138pts

3 dragon ogres w/ great weapons and light armour 237pts

total 1999 points w/ 93 models.
4 power dice and 3 dispel.

i can see my army is weak against magic. only 1 mage thats lvl2 in 2000 point games.  hopefully i can use the ambush rule and ambush behind the mages and kill them that way.

any comments will be grateful

Thats a pretty solid list for a first attempt, you could probably play it as-is if you wanted. Following is some advice and things you may find on your own. I'm not too familiar with the equipment you've got on your heroes, but the selection looks pretty good. You probably want to do 1 of 2 things though; Drop your shaman to a level 1 and give him another scroll, or add another Lvl 2 shaman and give him a scroll also (at a minimum).

I'd drop the Daemonettes on foot completely if I were you. They are great models but don't hold up on the table unless used as flankers in a largish infantry list where their movement is an asset. Compared to everything else you have they are relatively slow though. I think you would be better off adding another chariot (or two) and more warhounds.

Also, switch the ratio of Gors/Ungors that you have. You only need enough Gors to cover your average frontage (5-6). 8 is fine and will save you some points.

thnx for the reply.

ill tell you what the mortal chapmion does. the blade lets me add wounds for everything i kill, and the pendant gets me attacks for every wound i lose. so if i take a wound i get attacks then i gain an attack. so the attacks can be unlimated.

im only putting things in my army that looks cool or i have a cool conversion for them. so ill drop the daemonetes on foot and add shaman thats lvl2.

also can i use spells from different lores. like 1 shaman use lores of beast and the others use lores of shadow?

Each shaman must pick 1 lore for his spells to come from. The two of them can pick different lores though.

If you are going to Ambush trade in theCrown of Horns for the Horn of the great hunt. Ld 8 is much better thant Ld 7 if you're counting on the Ambush to kill mages.

Actually I just tried out chaos ogres for the first time a couple of weeks back and thought they were great now I can?t imagine a beast list without them! Even though i go with 6 w/ great weapons and full command ~300pts but ohh my they can make it over pretty quickly. It would only be better if they could take marks....
But for the rest of your list if your thinking about dropping the deamonets then you might want to think about making your Wargor a Beastlord.(just all round better for 35pts) and for the proportions of your beastherds in my opinion you need more Gors than Ungors because most people wont waste a lot of shooting on you beastherds when you have knights or other easier targets (no minus 1 for shooting). and if they get locked in combat for too long unsupported they will take casualties from the Gors and all of them will die resulting with you having a unit of Ungors that have no chance of rallying. But that's just been my experience in every game I've played (and I go with the box lay out 12 Gors 8 Ungors Full command).

Also as a side note I don't think many people will like you loop hole of having unlimited attacks (or they'll just challenge him with something nasty and kill him out right).

your aspiring champion, if i recall (while i am looking at my book), has to much wargear. He can only take 50 pts.
Blade of Blood - 35
Pendant - 20

thats a total of 55.

Fix that but otherwise the list looks fun, good luck.

try and finagle points around to give the minotaurs mark of nurgle and light armor. also getting a fourth would be a good idea. that way they have 12 S6 attacks 4+ armor. they kill lots of stuff that way. to do this i might drop the daemonette cav, but that's just me. in general creatures on 40mm bases should come in 4's and knights/cav in 6's, so i'd try to add another knight to the unit

No, it isn't unfortunately. Only lord-level chars can get this combo.

If I recall correctly, you cannot mark a unit unless you have a hero with the same mark. And the only way to have heroes with different marks is for your general to be Undivided. If your general is Slaanesh, all your other marks must be either Slaanesh or Undivided.

it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.
