Awww yeah. that's cool.

that grot looks amazing....

one minor thought...the engine is using a belt...i think such a massive vehicle would rather use something like tanktracks? as what on earth could be as sturdy for a belt as any leather or rubber? so i have to admit i have no knowledge whatsoever when it comes to motor/ engines...

Here I spend lots of time cutting up grotz to make unique ones, and you just sculpt them out of gs... On a more uplifting thought ( ) : that engine looks awesome! I 'd try to add some more depth to the purple-ish oil spills on top, or maybe just some gloss varnish, but other than that, it's truly jaw-droppingly amazing!

This... so much this! (except I mostly spend time staring at grots wishing I could cut them up to make unique ones and then just say "screw it" and grab the fantasy grot box instead)

I really like the grot dude! You captured some of the charm of the old ral partha models from way back when, i think the cad process removes a chunk of artistic expression potential from a model and it's good to get a reminder of these things every so often; bravo sir!

@ Vik, I am kinda with you on the belt thing, still thinking it over, but I find it a bit of a laugh to have it rubber band driven.

i think the scale creep is fully ok, as grots are a bitoff scale anyway...it´s their appeal in my opinion...they´re regular igors...

also...been thinking quite a bit about the belt...and chains, tracks wouldn´t work...too much pull on the individual segments...so your riveted () belt is the better idea!!

Wow Cam, that grot sculpt turned out great! That's very small to be working, I think it was surprisingly little scale creep, the stuff I sculpt ends up more over-sized than that

You must be doing something right on the oil and engine, 'cause for a second I thought that first close-up was a REAL engine.

That is a monster engine. What if you put rivets on the belt? (kidding, mostly) This thing is awesome.

Oilspill is much improved . And damn, that thing is huge... Loving it!

So cheating a bit here, I have based up some of my old build buggy's, I am hoping to sell them on Etsy, before I do does anyone have any thoughts about the configuration. I am not up on the latest, would these fall into any of the new designs.





Thats on a 170 mm base.

And these are on 150mm bases...









Looking at £15 each plus £5 postage, any thoughts would be most welcome.

@ Syro, just a bit of square rod stock, heated with a lighter, and bent, then the end flattened with pliers and a snip in the middle to form the claw.

I will get organised here in a minute. For now, throw this little repair grot bot together for the exterior of the gargant. Going to have him somewhere away to make repairs.





Not quite finished but close. He is meant to be a bit slap dash, after all they would not really spend much effort on a grot suit to go out and repair the hull.

I think the word Vik has been searching for as a new level of awesomeness is “Camkierhi”. I think you’ve just been “Googled” and your name will now also become a verb meaning

Camkierhi: 1. to make artwork at such awesome levels of skill and with such creativity and speed that it surpasses any other humanly pronounceable word.
2. To be the basis for all thinks both Orky and Grotty.

Strangely to me, it really reminds me of those really early ork deff dreads: 1st edition space ork dreadnought
