I can't quite figure out what it is, but something about the new miniatures just seems a bit lacking.

Compare the new Klovis artwork to the old version for example. It seems quite a bit more subdued and less dark and gritty with its details, like he had big shoulder armour and gloves, the metal skull on his chest, the big menacing industrial-looking eviscerator thing. The new version just seems to dull it all down.

That's exactly how the Arch-Zealout worked in Outlanders. I don't know if things have changed since the 90's.

Things have changed massively since the 90's. For example there were only 1 flamer back then, not there's 4. What they typically do with these sort of special characters is to have them available as house agents.

Still no sign of any Prospects, which will be a first if Cawdor don’t get them.

Maybe they don’t need them, I’m not familiar with the Cawdor gangs or how they play on the tabletop. As suspected the addition of Redemptionists seems to be enough for GW, they don’t seem to be fleshing out a pure Cawdor gang (ie with no Redemptionists) as they did the other Houses.

The last thing Cawdor needs are cheap/trash options like most of the prospects have been so far. Redemptionists being more elite would fix a lot of problems with the Cawdor list as it stands now.

Prospects are just another type of juve, shoehorned in to sell new minis. Escher certainly didn't need (nor benefited) from Wyld Runners.

I always thought the old news that 1 gang won't have prospects to be the least interesting information.

Prospect are not cheap/trash options. Only Goliath are considered expenadable, the other gang's prospect are expensive or carry something expensive with them (wyld runner's rat).

I don't think Cawdor are getting a Prospects/Champ box. They're getting 3 Redemptionist models instead.

Quite liking that Cawdor gets a choice of zealotry over spankier gang members. Kind fits a dirt poor but religious group.

Now, if we could just get this out the way, the Sneaky Slapheads can get to see what new toys I get to play with!

How are they poor when they used one of the most expensive type of weaponry in the game :flamer. These Redemptionists shown that guys on top of the food chain are not poor at all.

They aren't poor, they dressed "poor" and didn't invest much into guys at the bottom. Champs and Leaders of gang should still be loaded and well equipped.

Thanks for reminding me that flamers are priced for a game that looks like this.

It's a sprue of 3 minis with options to build two different sets of weapons.

To be fair the two builds per body go a lot farther than usual, but I'd still rather have a sprue of 5 actually poseable.

The wepons look more interesting than... recycled weapons from the main gang box, which is what they did to Orlock and Van Saar.

That was first stealth FAQ'ed on one of the quick reference sheets in the gang leader's accessories pack, back in 2018 I think. Which means that it's in almost all cases a glorified way of giving a weapon Strength 4 via a trait.

You're thinking small. This is GW. Figure that they'll make all the existing options in the existing boxes no longer legal or if they still are, it'll require you to buy the new box to make a legal list.

This is probably the worst thread to complain about "muh options". Because a lot of weapons in this game only exist through kitbashing.

Book of Shadows to close out the edition and then a soon thereafter launch of necromunda second season edition.
