You can have an army that includes Guard and Space Marines right? I mean it seems obvious but the other day someone told me you can't, and it seems stupid but I just wanna make sure before I make an army with guard and Marines. And also, can it be an army thet is not apocalypse?

In regular one-on-one single force org chart 40K, no, you cannot combine IG and Space Marines into a single army.

What you can do is use Daemonhunters with IG, that's about as close as you can get.

Or you can use Space Marines and get the Inquisitorial Storm Troopers from the Witch Hunters codex. They're like the IG vets, but better. You'll have to use the same models as the vets anyway

Daemon Hunters and Witch Hunters have a special rule that lets them use stuff from either the Space Marine Codex or the IG codex, the same rules also let you use either Daemon Hunters or Witch Hunters with your IG or SM army.

In just social games you may well be able to combine them, but yeah, you can't 'legally'...

If i were 2 play against you in a friendly game I'd let you combine them tbh, however the hard-nut space marines counter the weak IG and would therefore maybe make them overpowered?

you get a better form of the vets through the WH/DH codices anyway. This way is 100% legal and can be used in tournaments as well. It's the closest you're going to get to IG + SM.
