Every other popular race has one. Even Tyranids and Eldar, why can't they give one to a race that is tech savvy? Actually Tau have zero super-heavies.

They do, it's called the Tau Manta.

Somewhere.

It's unlikely. The Tau have little use for such, fluff wise. There method of fighting means hit and run, which the Manta does well. A Titan doesn't have the maneuverability the Tau need to stay alive.

Either you didn't bother to actually look, or I just have a particularly vivid imagination.

Well isn't the Manta actually the largest FW model aswell? I mean, why'd you want a titan when you have that?!

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

According to fluff Tau don't make Titans.

As for tech savvy, Titans are technically a stupid idea which wouldn't work and if it did would be totally vulnerable to falling over and so on. Although cool for SF.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

It is nice, which is why it's nice that Tau already have them.

Having the Tau titans being aircraft is a nice touch that differentiates them the other armies in the game too.

Triple linked post hammers the point home! Boy, is that Manta one FW thing I'm so not tempted to buy. It would be cool though if the Tau had something about the size of the Ork Mega-dread, or a knight. It could still have thrusters for speed, or at least to deepstrike.

Tau don't have Titans, so I doubt FW would make one.

I really like the idea of a giant crisis suit-you could use on of the Armoured Core models and homebrew some rules for it-it's Apoc anyway.
