I would like to apologise for my outburst in the dakkite of the year thread.

My attack on user Lunahound was entirely unnecessary, crass and beneath my own standards.

I am having something of a bad day, that does not excuse my behaviour but perhaps explains why I went off the deep end in quite such a dramatic fashion.

Sincere apologies to my fellow dakkites.

Public contrition following a pubic outburst seems appropriate to me gutteridge. This in no way condones what happened, which obviously shouldn't have happened in the first place but well done for the quick apology.

It was a bit of a mad thing to do, given that the worst thing Luna has ever done is post pics of raccoons in the OT forum.

Kudos for the public contrition though. It takes a lot to admit you are wrong on the interweb

I have to say this is turning away from what the thread was origially supposed to do which was offending ANY dakkaites not just Luna. It was about an outburst that hes has already apologized for. I commend MGS for doing so and i am sure the rest of dakka feels the same.

I used to post in a place that had a "rants" section that you could subscribe to if you wanted to, or keep invisible if you felt the hate would wear you down. I did not subscribe. Maybe Dakkadakka needs such a place though?

I cleaned up all the spam and flaming in this thread. It's not fair, I know, but I'm not feeling the drama tonight.

One of these days, we'll get MGS, Kanluwen and Lunahound to all shake hands.
