Subject: Gorilla Glue Plastic-->Metal

I tried searching but didn't find any satisfactory answers. A friend of mine gave me some unpainted metal space marines, but the arms included are plastic. Will Gorilla Glue work well for these? I have Gorilla Glue in my possession but have not given them a shot.

I have worked with gorilla glue and it’s tricky
It expands all out of proportion like insulation foam, but it does hold.
It’s not quick, like super glue or Zap-a-gap.
It also works best with a water kicker.
I keep a small tube for the parts that refuse stick
It can work on everything whether you want it to or not.
Play with a few sprues first.

Gorilla glue has a new super glue product with rubberized bits. The packaging states it will be more shock resistant. I have not tried it yet - but just like the OP, I intend on trying it out on plastic/metal joints as well as metal/metal joins.

Yeah I've used it and very much dislike it for the reasons you've stated - I've also found that zapagap is better at bonding plastic to plastic. My dreadnought arm came off several times before I switched glues...

I was really looking for something effective at gluing plastic to metal. Sorry I wasn't clear in my original post.

PINNING!
Get a small drill bit and something to use for rod. Either paper clip or really thin finishing nails is what I use. Clip them to size, drill the appropriate holes, insert the pins and glue away. It will hold WAY better then just glue alone. Ive pinned my Unta mini in every spot it connects, and Ive dropped it a couple times with nothing popping off

Oh no you were clear, I was just also pointing out that gorilla is total crap for plastic on plastic... but even with metal it spreads too much, makes a mess and stays kind of rubbery.
I totally agree that pinning (and zapagap) is the way to go though. Even when I put plastic arms on metal space marines for example, I pin them.

Exactly, if your working with metal at all you pin it together. Except maybe a SM head.... but thats a personal preference. Metal to metal, plastic to metal whatever, just pin and superglue. Youll be surprised at how well it holds together
