WTH is going on.

These models are amazing. They look beautiful. Would you tell us how you did the blues and greens?

Of course, as an American, that means I must say that soccer sucks, and football (real football... you know, the one where you do everything with your hands) is 10,000 times as good. I mean, football players could probably beat up soccer players, even, because they actually know sports.

Well, the greens are dark angel green + a little snot green + a little gore red as base (or preferably the vallejo equivalents.
Then all you do is highlite it up with adding a bit snot and scorpion green with more and more scorpion being added.

The blue is black with white and blue added in a measured way.

The chrystals are blue/purple with black and then highlited with white.

Impressive stuff, is that a Chaos termie head on the sergeant?

Nope, regular termie heads, no time for conversions but those will come.

That Non Metallic metal skill rules. did you make blue washes or started from blue itself?

Nope, absolutely no washes what so ever. Just normal paint everywhere.

Amazing paint job mate, loving the bases. Those chapter house bits you using? Whats the quality like?

Thanks and yes they are chapterhouse bitz and yeah, they are good but then again dont take my word for it as I am the one who made/sculpted those bitz so ask around instead and see what other people who use them think as I might be a "bit" partial on the subject

Here are some closeups, will post some more taken in a different light later.

Good eye and steady hands, the models look gorgeous! I like the extreme highlighting as well - works really well with the lava bases to give the impression of a warm glow.

How exactly did you get the bases like that? Is it GS, a base-kit, what? I haven't seen that before.

Man, the more I look at them the more I enjoy them. Real works of art there.

I'm not like them, but I can pretend.

Dang man, I LOVE those sheilds. The paint is stunning, but I think those sheilds are the best part. The hammer are interesting, good, but they look small.

These are absolutely fantastic. The sharp edge highlights make these pop out soooooo well. I've bookmarked this thread for refference! :-P

All that said, I'm going to be picky :-P

Pyriel- wrote:

On the left model here, the highlights on the Termy's neck, the part that goes back into the back plates - The higlight looks like a rather thick line of scorpion green with no additional shades around it. As the rest of the model has some very nice blending going on, this pops out. I think a few layers of intermediate colors here would make that blend back into the model and look a lot better.

I know picky picky, but it just stuck out at me :-P

Saying it again: These miniatures are amazing, and I can't wait to see more of your work.
