So everyone in my hometown is getting into this stupid game where absolutly nothing dies because you hafta roll 6's to hurt it and then they only die if they don't roll a 3+....... and while I was sitting there with my 40k box, waiting for these idiots to finish their game, I thought to myself, why don't they just go play "roll the dice" and leave the boards available for people with a real game. Anywho, after much talk, a buddy of mine got me to start "thinking" about playing.... mainly only because I like WW2, not because of the fact that some rules don't make sense, and that the miniatures are too small for them to look good. Anywho, here's the list, it's made with army builder so the points may be off, any corrections would be much appreciated.

You may want to look to some additional AT assests, it looks a bit light. Also artillery, howitzers or mortars. The American army seldom fought with out these.

Could be that so few people replied that you started out insulting a game we enjoy, then asked for help.

I would drop the weapons platoon. Huge points sink for what it is. Artillery and and extra section of HMGs. I would also put bazookas in each of the infantry platoons, helps keep assaulting tank wary.

I would ditch some or all of the HMG platoons in favour of AT guns, the high RoF on AT guns tends to result in them being useful in the anti-infantry role anyway. Possibly lose the 3rd rifle platoon as well, but that could still be useful.

Maybe add some Shermans or Grants? Gives you mobility, anti- infantry firepower and extra AT all in one shiny package. There is also something to be said for combined arms.

P.S If you don't like the game, play something else... the market is full of games in a range of scales with more realistic rules etc. Or you could stick with a different game type all together. You are sort of setting yourself up for long term unhappiness if you buy into a game you didn't enjoy to start with.
