just saw this model today, and think it rocks, the thing truly captures what Tzeench is all about, but what do you lot think?

Looks like it should be painted grey and left with all the other statues

Just far too static i think.
the horrors and staff are amazing, dont get me wrong.
but everything else just seems to boring and plain.
also, it looks too much like a guy with a chicken head.
Its far too human looking in terms of build and shape.

Overall, i would pay £45 for ultraforges version instead

FW statue bird = £132
Ultraforge decent model = £45

Result = Night out with saved money.

Oh well, I don't particularly like the Ultraforge model, and I've heard there are diffuculties getting them over here. It all boils down to personal taste really.

meh i would LOVE to paint that model no questions adked such great sculpting would make it worth it....buuuuut....im not going to spend nearly $200 on one model when I could have a low model count army of my own

I have the ultraforge model and i think the model is great personally i think is very much worth the $80. When i get taxes back i will also own the FW chicken statue.

I personally am glad to see FW finally do something for Tzeentch. Most of what FW does is for Khorne and Nurgle for CSM and daemons. I understand why since those two gods are the most popular of the four. It is just nice to see they havent forgotten about the others. As for the model i like it obviously but the only thing i wish is they wouldnt have made it look so similar to GWs model.

Well, yes it is good that Tzeench finally has a FW model, but JD21290 is exactly right. It's too human and is almost the same as the GW one. You shouldn't be able to see what it resembles, just what it is when it comes to Tzeench. The question is, would any one pay AU$142 more for almost the exact same thing?

Yeah, your right, it'll never happen, but my 'ideal' FW Greater Daemon of Tzeench would probably be a massive horror or something like that.

The horror twister thing coming out of his hand is nice and the detail, as always, is superb but overall i agree with the other posters... Its too humanoid and static whereas tzeentch is about twisted change.

I've pre-ordered mine already. Need to finish the collection I'll post pics when done.

Then, I shall begin some bat-reps pitting each of the four gods against each other, in a series of 4k battles. There will be many pictures and much rejoicing as the denizens of the Warp do battle with each other.

I wish I could use him in a WoC army.

You could have him as a Lord of Tzeentch mounted on some flying thingy.

Yup, Nurgle & Khorne are done, Slaanesh is in-progress and Tzeentch is pre-ordered.

I like it except for the even-edged wings. They look way too orderly. Not something yo uwant on the Lord of Change

Actually, that may be why most of us don't like it. Not why I don't, but maybe others.

Personally I think its the worst model out of the four. I love FW stuff but this one caused the guys loads of design issues and i think it shows. There are some brilliant parts to it, like the horrorhand, but overall its too static, the wings are horrible and its to humanoid. Shame really.
