Looking at this mess, I cant stand it other people may have there heart set on this battle force but why? Orks dervive on having alot of troops. An in the old Troop box for the Troops there was 16 models that the person could use and the space marine was 10 which was fair. but even the troop box set is weak, 10 boyz? Its just sad. Stop making orks like space! Tell you how think about this. The Battl force should at least have 25 orks for each squad in the battle force so 50 orks should be in the battle force. I feel that gw is trying to cut corners and not give the normal demand for the comsumer but thats just how I feel.

Lol wat? the Ork Battle force set comes with 20 boys, not 10

Im sorry I did not serperate what I was saying, right the ork BF does come with 20 orks (which thats not even enough) but Im talking about the troop box set as well.

Orks don't need big footsloggers to make good core troops.

12 Orks with a Rokkit and Nob with Power Klaw go great in an Ork Trukk.

Just because Orks like hordes doesn't mean that is how they should be. The new force is great to start with because if you want more Boyz you can buy Black Reach or more Boyz kits. However, if you want a Speed Freak type list you can just buy another Trukk for both Squads to have transports.

Of course I dont know much about orks, but the reason why I brought it was because of the fact that in the battle force they give you ten marines which In mini wargaming terms is a strong squad, Know Im just going by what they say is a strong ork squad which is 25 or higher. Which that does make sense. Know whats the BS of the a ork 2??? whats the chances of that rokkit doing something that turn?

I admit I was quite surprised when I saw the ork boy squad only had 10 boys you think it would have at least 15 or so. Trying to get a horde of orks has become quite a pain in the butt and expensive to but what new right.

Speed freak armies tend to rarely use any large amount of boyz.

The idea of a battleforce is to give a generic base force for an army to get started.
It also includes a variety of models to help a players choice.

So, they could throw in 40-50 boyz, but you wouldnt get much else from it.


and lets face it, new players will like the weird and wonderful units, why would they buy a boring box set that looks like its just full of troops?

But giving you 3 bikes is pretty lame. Should have been two mobs of 20 boyz and 2 trukks. That would have sold me. The mega force is worth it with the 9 bikes and two mobs of 20 and a trukk. Still need another trukk but a great deal.

Let me explain this.

12 Orks in a Trukk will assault FASTER than 25 Orks. That's the point. A Trukk can only fit 12 models, so if I want to take a squad of Orks in Trukks I HAVE to take only 12 otherwise I cannot transport the unit. However, I get a potential 24" assault range from the Trukk.

Just because they're BS 2 doesn't mean they suck at shooting. A Squad of 10 Lootas can potentially pump out 30 shots. SOMETHING will hit, I guarantee it.

As for the Rokkit, IF I am able to roll that 5+ to hit AND I'm able to pen/glance an enemy vehicle, it worked.

Also, it kills Marine Equivalents just as good.

Understanding what you have said, if there is 40 orks in a battle force then I could still put 12 in the transporter but I dont want all my infantry! to be the god damn TRANSPORTER(see I can do it to) Anything can happen in the game so its best not say what would happen. I know this space marine battle force or ork battle force Ill go for space and anyone who has a IQ of 100 would do the same.

To get more orks go with AOBR, the boyz are easy enough to konvert, or by the fantasy box set, comes with 19 or 20 and use some left over sluggs, shootas, etc/ Plus the WHFB set has some neat looking choppas. I mean a ork boy with a spear and a shoota is pretty cool
waaaaaagggghhhhh!

lets see the price of the normal ork set. 20$/25$ for canada. it comes with 11 orks one being the option nob. you say that it should come with 50 orks so times it by 5 and it would end up being 100$. now people buy it to gain a diversity of orks. however when it would come to a price that high, theres no room, for anything else to put, so that would make the ork set be more of a super big amount of ork troops rather than a battle force imo.
