I know who the Stig is!

One of my passengers was a mechanic type spod for a Team, and he told me who the Stig is.

My brother's friend is the Stig. Or at least that's what he keeps saying.

There's a reason we didn't invite him to Thanksgiving, though.

First up, there has/is more than one Stig, but I've been given a single name.

His identity should never be revealed as it would just ruin the spirit of part of the show

It's one of those things they like to keep well hidden. I've heard about this from time to time, should his true identity ever be known he would be sacked as soon as possible by the BBC.

For those who don't know who the Stig is, there is a TV show over here called Top Gear, which is all about cars. One of the main parts of it is that the Stig will drive certain cars/help celebrities drive faster on a race track, all the time saying little and wearing a full white driver clothing, with a tinted helmet. This is the second Stig, the original wore black, but when his name was revealed, the BBC sacked him. And there are many different international Stigs.

I think so, though I suspect that's mainly for international programmes, as 'The Stig' still has his own career which means he won't always be available for location stuff.

And there has certainly been a black Stig, and a white Stig.

Depending on the vehicle being driven the stig changes from time to time

Perry McCarthy was the origional "black stig" (who left the job after people found out he was the stig)

Ben collins, Heikki Kovalainen and Russ Swift are actually the white stig, however, the new series does have a new stig.
