Tying to get a feel for how this should be built.

Drop the Nightbringer and use a standard lord with resurrection orb, phylatery, phase shifter, and warscythe. Alternately you could equip him with a jetbike and pal him around with the wraiths. You'll have to drop the resurrection orb I believe to make that fit.
Don't bring pairs of wraiths, bring full units. They're easy enough to kill already. No tomb spyders.
Use your left over points from dropping the Tomb Spyders and Nightbringer to get a monolith.

Yeah, your best options for dropping the Nightbringer are:
-Replacing with Deciever (he's better overall, no shooting attack, but better abilities)
-Replace with Lord +Destroyer Body, Warscythe, Res Orb to go with the wraiths.
-Replace with Lord +Warscythe, Res Orb to go with the warriors.

Also, I don't think that 4 tomb spiders are really worth it. They move as slow as the warriors, are large targets, and give you less space for Heavy Destroyers/Monoilths. Also, only one squad of 3 heavy D's means that if they all get wiped out, they'll get no WBB (even with those spiders)

ALSO, I think this is the biggest weakness of this list, is that you phase out at like 8, which means if you lose your 13-man warriors squads (IMO you shouldn't have any higher than 10 for warriors, due to Sweeping Advance killing all of them quite often) then you gotta lose one more guy to phase out...

What if I really want to keep Nightbringer? Already have the model, and really like him.

Drop the Wraiths, 2 Necron Warriors and the Tomb Spyders for 2 Monoliths. You can use the spare points for whatever. Necrons really need 'Liths to be competitive. Those changes should make the list a lot more competitive. you can gradually add the other bits in as the point level goes up to 2500. I would definitely look at getting another squad of "crons at 1750. You could do that by trimming the other two squads down.

Truth be told, not really. That being said, if he works well in your competitive environment, keep him. I think that you'll run out of Necrons too soon though to get much use out of him.

honestly you lack warriors and the greatest things for tank hunting.... scarabs(with disruption fields) take more warriors, switch you heavy destroyers to normal, get a monolith and take out the nightbringer for a normal lord (or two on destroyer bodies )

nightbringer is really that good the deciever is better and even then isn't that good in 1750pts (or at all really in competitive gaming please put separate views if you think differently) but im not telling you how to collect your army just advising you on the best options.
