Here is my plague furnace. The Priest is based so he can run off the Engine if a player wishes. Most likely this will be on its way to ebay. Comments and Critiques are welcome.

Wow, that's awesome. Did you have to paint that in pieces and then glue it together, or was it fully assembled when you did it?

What colors did you use for the Priest's base? It looks like scorched brown and beastial brown.

Great work mate honestly.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Wow, that's a great kit, and you've done 'er up well.

Ditto the praise on the smoke especially.

Thanks all for the kind words. Especially on the smoke. I felt that was one of the weaker points of the model.

The model was staged in pieces.
The cart
Plague Priest
Crew
Large censor and swing arm
2 stone pillars.

All was assembled post paint.

What colors did you use for the Priest's base? It looks like scorched brown and beastial brown.

scorched brown base, Earth for the "wood grain". Black Ink for the space between boards and finally a glaze of thin brown ink.

Base of Dark Angels Green
cover most of pupil with a Deeper yellow Green. I use VMC golden Olive.
Then dot with a yellow/white or high yellow green. GW - Livery Green or VMC Yellow Green or VMC ice yellow are some I use in this step.

This gives a deep pupil with a bright center.

Very nice. I really want to get this model for my own army, but it'll have to wait for now!

I have a little bit of constructive critisizm for you.

First, the bones/horns that you have painted. The faiding is a bit stark. I think you could use an extra layer or two inbetween each solid color. Would make the transition much more fluid.

Also, the model as a whole feels a bit too mono-chromatic. Perhaps taking a few more of the smoke highlights brighter, or even a few lighter green higlights here and there. Just a few things to stand out a bit mroe would make the model pop.

Cheers!

Ooooh, thanks for posting. I wanted to get a good look at this kit before I started a Skaven army. I agree with Pherion in that it's a little monochrome, but the blending is undeniably flawless.
