hey guys and gals, i need a foam cutter in a bad way, if you could help me out, if you can make one from scratch ill buy it or if your getting rid of one please let me have it. i am new to terrain making and just got my first big shippment of styrofoam, im ready to make some terrain, if you can help me out that would be great of you and you would have my undying gratitude.

Also, I am not sure where you live but a foam cutter is easily attainable at most Hobby and Craft stores like Hobbytown USA, Michael's or Jo-Anns. I'm willing to bet some art stores may carry them as well. I know my local Dick Blick does. I hope this helps.

If im not mistaken a foam cutter is really cheap and easily found.
Its basically a piece of wire attached to a battery which heats it.

Yes, go to your local hardware store. You want to ask for a "hot wire cutter." Another good item to have is an Exacto Knife (good for cutting sheets of foamboard or plasticard).

Thewarstore.com has one for about 12 USD. And it arrived very fast.

Walmart has them in their craft section or your local craft store. they sell them in the fake flower section.if your store is small they might not have them. you can also heat up a paring knife on your kitchen stove too make sure its red hot for at least 30 seconds it will cut fine until cool then it starts to rip it.just reheat and repeat process.just ventilate because it stinks and gives off black soot not alot though, use your kitchen area and exhaust fan.

15$ for a heavy dute foam cutter. This thing works magic on foam.

Any Train or hobby store will have them for about $10

You can get one at Hobby Lobby or Michaels for around $10 USD. That will be a hot foam cutter and there is also on with a sharp blade also.
