Ahhhh. By focusing down one flank the Death Guard are able to cripple the Squats. That can be one of the difficulties of the gunline, if you are spread too thin you become open to focussed attacks.

All in all a great report. Love the Lascannon Robots Ian, Did they help much? Maybe a unit of rough riders would be helpful to counter attack. They could be put near the center of the line so they can support anywhere it is breached (Trikes with Hunting Lances!)

And much props for runnig three dreads Panic. It is allways so risky as what happened with the Vindicator. That is why I usaully try to keep a few Chaos Spawn around my melta dread They do also help him from being tar-pitted.

Looking forward to part three!

All painted and pushing 60,000 points combined.

Yup, trounced by the Plaguemarines and only scraped a draw due to forgetfulness.

I think the main problem here was my deployment. I should have taken advantage of the fact that Demolisher Cannons only have a 24" range and my Executioners 36" and deployed RIGHT back on the table edge, so that there was no change of any first turn losses. The loss of an Executioner was a big blow that early, and once assaults had started I was buggered...

Still, ANOTHER REMATCH to come...

Your Squat army kicks ass. I eagerly await the rematch. Is this one for the Battle of Ultimate Destiny? LOL.

For an army as 'cool' as this one I really want to see it win. Both are brilliantly painted though. Plague Marines are a tough lot in general to crack, especially when they get all sneaky and hide in Rhinos for a turn or two.

I love the 3 Chaos Dread list, really unique and it seems to have paid some big dividends (fleet charging) as well as some sacrifices (so long vindicator).

ArbitorIan: What do you feel your army is lacking in these battles? Is it something you can change within the Squats fluff or just an inherent weakness? Either way, the cool factor of the army more than makes up imo.

There could be some interesting conversions making some squat trikes to play as rough riders.

Yeah, you really needed to spread back more mr ian. You definitely outmatched panics marines in range, but you didn't use that advantage :( Ah well, win the rematch!
