AH - Absolutly

Actually ( thou I admit Bias ) Git's assessment is usually very good. - Strategy
Executing the strategy is always the hardest part for any of us. – Tactics..( I find we are getting better ). Truth to playing more develops better decision making.

IMO - Wining armies know this and generally stick to the plan but can and are willing to adjust their tactics with the strategy in mind as things progress. There is something to be said for choosing the right combination of troops and abilities. ( Some codex’s are better than other for WAAC style of play. And the balance issues have been discussed infinitem )

Things we can do better – know the rules. Understand how our armies work and that of our opponents. Playtest and try new tactics.
Things that we can’t.. Dice (Read some of Git’s battle reports – they do him no favor – and yet he still manages to keep it close - something to be said for that! )

Git and I games were very challenging. all in all I think we did fairly well.
Ramblings over.

SL: that was not rambelings that was insight to yalls play style and theory to your amries. I will agree that some armies are suited for WAAC play than others but each army has a fighting chance of winning some more than others.

i totally agree with you that knowing the rules is a good thing, have you thought about picking up other dexes to learn how other armies work?

yea the dice gods are fickle beasts but hey thats half the fun right there.

ya you guys did do fairly well glad to read your reports. always entertaining and full of insight.

Yeah. most of us read other codex’s, but really are limited at playing against them.
It one thing to read a book on Brain surgery, another to do it. ( or your not touching my brain defense ).

now we wait to see what 6ed. turns us into. Adepticon will need to have a full compliment of rule judges next year.

Thanks CL - they are pretty much table top but I'm working at new things to get better. Still its a nice hobby and painting is a form of relaxation. (Now if I didn't have to work,, I'd get 8-10 more hours a day!)

As a person who is deep into actual military history. I often think on why things turned out the way they did. So...your losses are opportunities to develop strategies and on the field tactics to counter you opponent. This is why I love watching others play and bat reps as well. seeing is believing.

Good to know.. you'll have to shout out some tips every now and then. Always use agood advice.
I actually like the concept of playing the orks, nids and crons. if nothin but for the change of trying something different. Someday I mighy do... ( pause) IG or(wisper) Tau . If nothing to ry my hand at painting them. But in reality I'll be putting these things in my will before I get to painting them.

Well i jsut came into a very nifty trade with tau so that is in the works.
Yea, if I can be any help against certain builds let me know feel free to pm me and I might could help you think of some awesome way to counter it.

So far my toughest match up has been against space wolves. (one game was thunder wolf spam and the other list i play regularly is razor back spam)

they are both touch builds what is strange is they were both light on long fangs. but what that lacked was put into other nasty things.

Strategy was sound. . imagine how different a game if the Sternguard had actualy mangled the BA assault. The game would have gone completely different. you would be saying what a great tactic. Then dealing with the TW would have been a more controled and heavy responce and put us in more control of the flow. TW dealt with by DC and assault squads, SG remnants move to the other objectice joined by vindis dealing with SW libby rhino SR to assist where ever. Coulda shouda woulda....looks like a different. game

This time the SG didn't get the rolls they needed. Doesn't make the tactic wrong. Just risky. We were defensive after that. Still I would be the first to say I'd do that again! Feasibly sound. Point made.

Untouched. Complete. New.

Bits. Something I'm guessing FW doesn't want to get into. Business wise probably doesn't pay out.

If your gonna use the mold it make no sense to just produce the missing part. It would probably cost more to cater to indivdual requests or special orders than replace some models.

Lastly it's good customer service. It in turn brings the customer back to spend more $. I'm proof!

Look forward to seeing where it goes.

That's looking fantastic there SL! Going to be a really stunning model when you're done. I think you need to put checks on one side of the body to match the leg. Man would that be spectacular!

like half of the actual torso checkered? or a stipe of checkers?

inmygravenimage wrote:Oooh so pretty! And also capable of some serious disco moves. Saturday Night Contemptor, anyone?

Funny.. I was thinking like " Hi Mom" they look the way they do because the torso isn't guled yet to the legs. I have more interior joints and stuff to finish before I set him for good.

I think it should be half the torso actually. A stripe would look a bit odd...
