Thanks Yorkright , I don't know what I was thinking with the tank facing the other way. It's exhaust was even facing the front .

Anyway I found some ravenwing bike fairings which were bigger than the scout bike ones. Not sure how the wings will look, but I guess "The Emperor Protects,"

Hopefully it looks good painted up. I'm not sold on the purple I did as a test on the tank track. I might give red a try or dark green. When I decide that then the gun will get the spot color up on the panels by the barrel as well.

That's a lot of SF buildings. I have never played Necromunda in any iteration, but the scenery has always appealed to me.

Now showing The Fellowship of the Ring, along with some Dreadball Captains!

Really good job on those tracked gun platforms, they look great. Nice deal on the old hardbacks as well, the background and painting inspiration in them never gets old.

Oh I like tanks, not as much as you, but at one point (3rd edition I think ) I had every army in 40k. Imperial guard was going to be my main force, but I just couldn't get excited over them and I got a huge trade of marines for some of my other stuff.

Well at least as long as you got a good deal for the tanks. Yeah, I guess I am a tank-nut

Yeah, but why would the meat meant for the grinder get anything useful. It would make the marines less appealing.

Oh get ready for the rerelease, as I think it will be awesome......or it'll suck and everyone will break out the old rules or the yaktribe rules.

These are the new ones aren't they?? the grey knights ones had the tops of 20 or so pages stuck together, but careful tearing separated them without too much damage. The other two had slight damage to the covers, but nothing more than what they'd get transported around in a book bag.

Well just like you upscaling the tau suit I figured these needed to get their guns upscaled as well.

Desubot wrote:Fantastic use of D wars stuff man.

Thanks , there's always little gems to be found in just about any range. Luckily for me miniaturemarket gets most of the ranges and I can sift through the stuff without spending a fortune.

Speaking if not spending a fortune, I was looking for parts when I saw an old purchase covered in dust crying on the shelf. It lamented the fact that it never got chopped up for the old Necromunda games, and now a new edition is coming out and it didn't think it was going to ever get attention.

It's a Melissa and Doug train bridge that raises and lowers by turning of a crank. It has now been moved to the front of the que. I believe I ordered this a few years ago for about $16 with shipping. Since taking that pic this morning it has been completely disassembled. The wooden train rails in it have been removed and new wider plastic bridge decking is being installed. I also removed some plastic tabs that kept it from lowering too far. It can now be lowered down below parallel. It's also now over 3" wide on the bridge deck instead of less than 2".

Unless the art is different on the US versions I believe those are 7th edition codexes, the new Space Marine one has a Primaris Marine on the front.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, the re-used art on both the Grey Knight and Chaos Marine codex is a bit of a poor move on GW's part.

Well I felt so bad about buying old things that I cured it (temporarily) by buying something new. I picked up Test of Honour from Miniaturemarket.com today. 35 more figs to paint . They will eventually be part of my Asian themed Kings of War army. I have plenty for it, I just need to make a start on them. Of course that will be after I finish the Orc Bloodbowl team (I'm planning on working on them after work tonight/tomorrow morning) and the Necromunda bridge which the cat may or may not have broken overnight while I slept .

Well, on the bright side you got a hell of a deal on the old codexes, and I'd be happy as hell to get them for that price, even if they were for 7th. I understand the disappointment, though.

On a brighter note, that rail bridge thingy looks bloody awesome. Cant wait to see what you do with it.

I'm running into the stupid problem of glue not sticking to it though. I'll break out the hot glue gun tomorrow and try that, but I've roughed up the edges, used plastic glue, gorilla glue(some hold) and super glue. I need to grab some epoxy from the store.

I didn't have any 7th edition rule books anyway, so not a huge deal. Just not as cool of a buy.

You might need to use ABS glue. Which is super toxic hardware store stuff.

Nails it is . I tried to use the screws that held it together to put it back, but the base I'm using for the bridge deck just splinters . The gorilla glue was holding until it got bumped by my butterfingers.

Might give that a shot later today.

Was going up to work at church this morning to get last minute things done and tire blew out. Big hole in the sidewall. Called AAA after my jack kept slipping out. They couldn't get the lug nuts off . Towed to tire place which opens in an hour. They'll probably have to cut the lug stems off and put new ones on. morning. Bought a lottery ticket to the 1/2 billion dollar powerball for tonight. Luck has to change sometime right?

Just the car. It's a Volvo and supposedly notorious for the lug nuts not coming loose easily. They tried for 1.5 hours to get them off after AAA tried for 20 minutes with no success at all. They need to get one of the guys torque force multipliers to break them off, which will probably mean needing a new hub, lug bolts and all. Of course they cannot get that tool till Monday at earliest. They bent a $400 breaker bar as the 200lb guy was hopping up and down on it to try and get more force to pop it loose. I called the Volvo dealership and they just laughed saying they never have a problem. Have it towed here (about $100) and we will do it at $150/ hour labor(minimum 2hours) plus parts, new tire (couple hundred there) and we can get it done SOMETIME this week .

So I walked home and did a bit of work on a bridge so I can get over it.

Bridge deck with mantic plates on top of doubled up bases from arcane legions as the back bone to the deck. Finally got it all glued and screwed together to hold it in place.

Lowest bridge position

Bridge up

Troll house under the bridge.

I didn't hit anything, but it was starting to pull really hard to the right, so it was a matter of time.

I looked it up on the net and my 2001 Volvo v70 seems to have this problem on that front right tire , they even have a replacement kit and different bolts for it.

You the man Shaso .

Well my wife's car broke down when she picked me up last night from work. Some camshaft selenoid thingy. It was working fine this morning and eventually (20 minutes of fiddling with it) got us home, but just another bump in life. God says he doesn't give us more than we can handle, but some day I want to have a little chat with him about that .

While chilling out this morning I came across a cool video for a workbench that I'd love to eventually build for myself as a gaming table. I say eventually as my basement floor is not level enough for this to b practical, but maybe one of you all would enjoy it.
