Not going to put this in the trade forum yet, but if anyone wants JUST the cards for the Thorns of the Briar Queen warband, let me know.. I have the 30 or so theme cards and hero cards, but NOT the models..

Came in a random group of stuff I got locally, and already have them myself, so these can go elsewhere..

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

The gift set includes a bunch of Shadespire cards. So I guess it will then make those legal again in tournament play?

So the Champions of Dreadfane box is 60 Dollars according to the leaked release list, but Dreadfane comes with an extra board, rule books, dice, markers, and unique hazard cards and is 10 Dollars cheaper?

Not all the prices are correct, the red painting handle was very overpriced on the sheet.

I think the red painting handle was a multipack (5 or 6 of the individual items) for independent stores to split and sell, as were the paint pot holders which explained the high prices?

So the card with the White Dwarf is only for a game mode that comes in that WD (Apex). Interesting other releases, really interesting that the they are rereleasing a bunch of Shadespire cards for Beastgrave. Presumably not relic format only so lets hope that they don't do anything silly (like rebound, earthquake etc.).

I'm confused by the gift pack - they JUST rotated out season 1 cards to keep things less complicated. Now they are repackaging them and releasing them again?

There are fewer universals in Beastgrave than in either of the first two seasons. Adding universals would increase deck building options. Further, I am holding out hope that with the experience the design team has gained, they know exactly which Shadespire cards would be okay to bring into Beastgrave (and I assume that no former BAR cards will be reprinted).

As for these reprints being Relic-only, that is a possibility but this would be likelier (in my eyes) if GW was releasing a complete set of Shadespire universals. I think this selected release means that these cards will be "Championship" legal.

Two warband focuses this week and no chatter? Plus the new cards from the Beastgrave gift set? Where is everybody?

Seriously though, is it just me or can rippa’s snarlfangs get concerted attack while also shooting some dudes? The Snarlfang Attack is part of the fighter so it counts and the objective card doesn’t say anything about not attacking other fighters…

Beastgrave gift set is composed of Shadespire cards with new art...so that's not super exciting.

Ironsoul and the Banshees have been known about for awhile, since Dreadfane itself dropped. Pardon for not getting excited over them.

Well, the FB groups are blowing up about the return of Rebound

I tend to agree - you can't argue that rotation is important for the health of the game, then immediately bring back one of the most negative play experience cards.

Personally, I am picking and choosing what I like now (after getting every card in S1-S2). The gift pack including mostly old cards, but also a small selection of new ones is a good example why. Still love the game, but it just doesn't make financial sense to stay current when they do things like that, imo.

Agreed, putting 10 new cards in a 32 card pack is an insult to existing customers.

Rebound is a bit annoying, but at least it is only 1 card.

The warbands? Yeah, they'll be cool. I haven't read through what all we got yet.
Not seeing anything about the Gift Pack having new cards so it's kind of a moot thing for the time being.

Mmmkay, noted the bit now. For the most part, those cards are okay--but at least this isn't another damn Echoes of Glory where it sells out immediately and you're stuck buying the starter set warbands to get them.

It isn't selling out because it's daylight highway robbery . The new cards are probably awesome, but people balk at paying that price for mostly old cards, a cardboard mat and 3 acrylic tokens.

You had at least six months to get a hold of Echoes of Glory. It was released in early November or late October last year and it was still available on all GW sites until around April this year. You could still find it tucked away in some LGSs until this last month or two.

For what it's worth, this release is almost the exact opposite of Echoes of Glory. Echoes of Glory was a reasonably-priced (GBP10/CAD20) package of cards released so that veteran players wouldn't have to buy Garrek's/Steelhearts again in new packaging just to get some new universals. This "gift" pack on the other hand, is a deliberate slap in the face to veteran players who have no need of 22 out of the 32 cards it contains, and frankly nobody needs the playmat (which in my experience will just get in the damn way on the cramped tables we're all playing on). So we get three tokens and 10 new cards for GBP22.50/CAD45+tax.

I really don't understand why GW would do this at all with this release. They've quite honestly chosen the route that pleases the least amount of people, and they should have just made this thing with 32 all-new cards. We'd have griped about having to buy the other stuff with the new cards, but at least we would have gotten more cards for our money - and there'd have been no bloody Rebound in a pack of new cards. They already spent money on the art and design for all the reprints - why not go the whole hog with new cards instead of burning this much goodwill?

The wolf riders are looking pretty decent (except where they are described as being fast...) and its nice to be able to finally get the Dreadfane set here, but do have to agree on this "gift" pack, what a horrible thing! So expensive and just to rotate in a load of cards that pretty much everyone was happy to see be rotated out?! Has there been a list of all the cards in it published?

It was sold out in the first week here in the US...so no, that wasn't even remotely true.

That's cool...but you do need to remember that each time there's a new 'core set' ala Beastgrave, they get an influx of new blood to the game. People who might not have those 'mostly old cards'.

Ingtaer, yes there's been some coverage of it, luckily if you have the original cards you can use them instead . Check out these articles - the first is more of just a list, the second has some analysis:

https://katophranerelic.com/2019/11/16/beastgrave-gift-pack-they-rereleased-that-card/

https://canyourollacrit.com/2019/11/16/beastgrave-gift-pack/

Just note any updated wording applies, so the new cards basically double as FAQs/Errata for the old ones

They’d rotated out though, so it doesn’t really matter if new blood had them or not. And either way, the set should have just been all old cards, or all new cards. It being mostly old cards with a handful of new cards is the worst part.

It cannot possibly have been sold out as quickly as you imagine because I wasn't into the game then. I only started this game in January/February, and I bought Echoes of Glory in February/March. I checked US, Canadian and UK websites because I have mailing addresses in all three markets and furthermore I was busy trying to convince a US buddy to get into the game. It was still available on the US webstore in at least February, possibly March. I can say this with such certainty because I prioritized the purchase of Echoes of Glory (even before I'd bought the Shadespire core set) as I knew full well that this item would most likely be the first to go out of print and indeed it was. Only not as fast as you're suggesting.
EDIT: I just dug up an old post of mine from Reddit that I made on March 8 this year, noting that Echoes of Glory had gone out of stock in North America. It had still been in stock the month prior, so you had until February to buy it.

I definitely need to grab those Wolfriders for Orc & Goblin skirmishing purposes. I'm trying to get a sort of oldschool Warhammer Skirmish feel, but with modern models.

So that explains the more savage looking grots that appeared on the cards. The guy looks more like a goblin than a gnoblar, but maybe that's just the art. Didn't expect the hunter to have a crossbow, so that's nice.
