The Atlas variants are great, looking forward to trying some. At the end of the RG series, I think my most wanted new design mini is the updated Goliath. That thing is so dang nice. After that, I really hope we get the Ost series mechs as new minis.

Spent a few hours last night transcribing most of the new Rec Guides into Solaris Skunk Works. I can't get the GRN-D-01-X Grand Crusader to work. It comes up as 1 ton overweight. I'm not all that familiar with this one. What makes it interesting?

Probably the new piloting interface? It's a new paradigm of BattleMech technology, like a full-size Protomech. The bits about re-skinning regular Ryoken IIIs to look like Skinwalkers to attract attention from enemy forces wanting to salvage one for the new tech was fun.

well that in itself isn't intreasting as the skinwalker was included in an earlier experimental TRO. whats intreasting is the single skinwalker running through the FS and DC hunting a missing jumpship.

According to this post on the BattleTech forums it was also used to fix a few inconsistencies in 'Hour of the Wolf':
Jal Phoenix wrote:Yes, the Stormcrows masquerading as Skinwalkers was a deliberate attempt to address the way they were used in Hour. It also played well into the line in the Skinwalker's entry in XTRO Republic III about Devlin Stone making the capture of a Skinwalker a high priority. It just worked out.

Sorry if this pic doesn't work, but... whoa:
This is from Catalyst's FB page, along with the following caption:

Just look at that map sheet!

Wow the new urban maps are looking incredible. Interesting to see the shift in scale from the CityTech setup I just ran, looks great with all the room to maneuver and larger building footprints.

Really lovely maps. CityTech was more of a US town on the middle of nowhere style than the huge megalopolis we all picture when we think Btech.

Of course there are some BTech maps that have massive cities in them - not just the ones you put the counters on top of - and those buildings are pretty big.
This looks like that, only with more variety and vastly better graphics (including shadows!).

Wow, just noticed those shadows - very clever!
Looks like I'll be able to recreate the urban battles that I've always dreamed of doing just like in Close Quarters. The old Citytech definitely did have that town in a desert thing going on.

Absolutely! Fill the gap and swap the maneuvering thrusters for some weapon blisters and it's perfect. Just have to figure out what ships it's the right size for.

New record sheets:
Wave 2 ForcePacks
Wolf’s Dragoons ForcePack
Spotlight On: Hellion Keshik
Price: $3.99, PDF
Death From Above. No words better describe Hellion Keshik, the bodyguard Trinary for Clan Goliath Scorpion’s saKhan. Few formations conjure terror amongst their enemies more than this assemblage of warriors. Forged from tattered remnants of two Clans, one Absorbed and the other Abjured, Hellion Keshik welded their disparate philosophies into one. As the tip of the spear for Hellion Galaxy, the Keshik does more than protect the saKhan. These warriors train endlessly and fight savagely like no others in the Scorpion Touman. The Keshik has never tasted defeat, because victory is so sweet.
Spotlight On: Hellion Keshik includes a Unit History, Personalities, Personnel Rosters, Mission Tracks, and data for use with all scales of BattleTech play.

Kinda humorous to me that despite being the variant used for the Model and the Datasheet's picture the Banshee 3S doesn't have a sheet in that book of sheets.

Apparently, the premium plastic Clanbuster Black Knight and Stormcrow are going away for the time being. The Black Knight is available on Catalyst's store:

Blurb from the store listing:
NOTE: This item will be discontinued after this release, as the manufacturer has shifted away from its previous plans. Future premiums are being re-sourced.

Technically the Banshee mini is a 5S, not a 3S.

Maybe according to the older information. The 5S, as it stands now in the new record sheets, now has its weapons shuffled around, namely that all the heavy hitting weapons are divided between the two torso. So the 3S would be what the model is.
