I was watching some crappy TV show with my nephew the other day and i started thinking about old shows i liked when i was a kid..
What do think was the best show of the 80s-90s?
I liked Thundercats, i also like the politically correct "Bravestarr" (robot horse with a hip fired bazooka FTW) and of course, my favourite..
Here is my vote, do you guys remember it?
We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.
Does Jenna Jamesons porn count cause I loved it as a kid!!!!!
Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!
Garret Ren and Stimpy is STILL awesome and im now a seasoned adult! I got the DVDs last year.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.
Possibly the greatest new "kids" show I have seen.
As a child I used to watch:
Ren and stimpy
Fraggle Rock
Volton
Thundercats
He-man
Rocco's modern life
Captain Kangaroo
Super mario bros. power hour
Captain N
etc.
I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.
Bill Nye
Thundercats
GI Joe
Johnny Quest
Beavis and Butthead
Ren and Stimpy
Aeon Flux
Captain Caveman
Loony Tunes
Sesame Street
Mr. Rogers
Now:
Spongebob
Avatar: The Last Airbender (damn awesome actually).
Family Guy
American Dad
King of the Hill
Last 3 aren't kids shows I know, guess neither would AF or B&B but I watched them as a teen and if I had kids right now I'd let them watch FG, AD and KotH so long as I was with them.

--The whole concept of government granted and government regulated 'permits' and the accompanying government mandate for government approved firearms 'training' prior to being blessed by government with the privilege to carry arms in a government approved and regulated manner, flies directly in the face of the fundamental right to keep and bear arms.

I know I'll destroy my street cred with this one, but I watched Care Bears avidly as a child as well.

Mate, thats a pile of gak. I have all of the cartoons and i watch them in the comfort of my own home. The issue with people like you is (dont actually watch the show) is that 50% of the shows were just too weird, and yes, they werent funny.
But the good ones are literally laugh out loud funny. The one where they join the army makes me lol every single time i see it. Also the wrestling match, space madness, Stimpys fan club, some of that gak is classic comedy.

York/London(for weekends) oh for the glory of the british rail industry
to add to the ones i posted earlier, the one show that has not been mentioned, especially by uk posters is Dr who, my all time favourite show, since childhood to now, i got hooked or john pertwee reruns
Relictors: 1500pts
its safe to say that relictors are the greatest army a man , nay human can own.
I'm cancelling you out of shame like my subscription to White Dwarf. - Mark Corrigan: Peep Show

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- Yeah, well...someone had to mention it. The turtles were my life at one point.
Transformers- Wasn't into that as much as TMNT, but yes, definitely.
The X-Men and Spiderman cartoons- I never got into comics all that much, but these shows were awesome. Especially Spiderman, I loved the fact that he was a smartass.
The Tick- The Tick was just good plain fun. Awesome show.
Sonic the Hedgehog- The show that aired on Saturday mornings, that only made it through one season before being canceled (ugh, why?). It was great, it had a dark atmosphere and actually made Robotnik look like a threatening villain (Jim Cummings voiced him I believe).
Animaniacs and Freakazoid-IIRC these were both Spielberg cartoons. It's good stuff, very funny. (I also lump in Pinky and the Brain with Animaniacs, though IIRC Pinky and the Brain got their own cartoon didn't they?)
Batman: The Animated Series-Awesome. This was one of the best cartoons, the animation was great, the voice acting was great (Mark Hamill as the Joker, considered to be one of the best Joker performances, if not the best), it was dark and cool. They even managed to get a little camp in there, too, without ruining it.
Rocko's Modern Life- I dunno, I just liked how bizarre it was at times. A lot of innuendo in that show, too, that I never noticed as a kid...
Hercules- I wouldn't call it one of the best cartoons, but for some reason I really liked the Hercules animated series, and the movie. A lot of other people don't, though.
Doug- ...I don't know, I can't really explain that one.
I watched a lot of cartoons as a kid, there's some more I'd throw up there but I'm trying to limit it to just the "best". As for stuff like Thundercats and He-Man, I know I watched them as a kid (also had He-Man toys), but I don't really remember them at all for some reason. Especially Thundercats.
The only people who say that they liked Ren and Stimpy as a kid (and in that same vein, Invader Zim and its ilk) are all poseurs.
I never watched Invader Zim as a kid, but a couple years ago I watched some episodes of IZ on iTunes and...obviously I wouldn't call it one of the best cartoons, but it does have its moments.

Looney Tunes, especially Roadrunner and Coyote.
