Hey guys, i haven't posted or painted in a while, but i was recently inspired by an awesome IG colour scheme so i thought i would give it a go myself.

Here are my first attempts, this is also the first time i ever tried a white basecoat and watered down my paints. And TBH i think i did a pretty good job

Comments and critique are very welcome, i haven't got round to doing the base yet as it was only a test, but i was suprised how good i managed to do it, you guys were right, thinner paint is MUCH easier to control.

Now that is one of the best IG Urban Camo I have seen on here. It is not over done or to plain. With a bit of cleaning up it will look great in mass on an urban board.

I can post my scheme if you wish, it's quite a limited pallete and only uses a couple of layers

edit: Oh i see his right hand needs touching up a little

I think the scheme concept is fine but it loks a little vague. Did you drybrush the whole thing after putting on the base camo scheme?

I also think you should try for a slightly different grey on there as a contrasting colour. Camouflage is designed to break up outlines and the very muted tones you've gone for don't appear to do that so well in the pictures (maybe the colours come out better in person).

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I the only grey i have is codex grey so i just did a 1:1 mix with chaos black as a basecoat for the armour and cloth alike, bearing in mind this is my first attempt so may still need tweaking.
I tried to drybrush a light layer of skull white on the armour parts to bring out the edges and make it stand out more from the camo but i still think it needs more.

For my second attempt i may do a lighter cloth part, possible a 1:3 or 1:4 chaos black to codex grey ratio to be more defining.

edit: Though i did want to make them blend from armour to cloth to make it look more real and, well camouflaged

Really like the colours, except I agree with Flinty on the diffent colour for the armour. A slightly darker grey would break up the monotony of the model. All in all, well done in my opinion, actually looks realistic!

Nice scheme, right hand is a little too red and the base needs finishing.

I see you shaved the detail off the boots.... I think that was a good move on your part. Looks nice.

I like the choice of colors and the Dorito pattern. It looks really neat.

I like the Urban colors. You look ready for a cities of death campaign right there.
