I've been playing FoW since V1 and have been thinking of adding yet another army to my collection. Most of my collection are Battlefront miniatures but over the years I am noticing more players using the A&A miniatures and more players becoming accepting of them. Since they "rescaled" them the A&A tanks are very much inline with BF miniatures and with some repainting they seam to look good on the table top, though my experiences are limited.

I've been checking out various websites looking for A&A singles when I happened to notice something. The blister pack for the 1939-1945 AA minis includes 4 tanks.. a T34, Sherman, Panzer III and a Cromwell. I already have several platoon of Shermans for my US Armored company, but if I got say 10 or more of these packs I'd have enough tanks for a Russian tank force, I can do that Afrika Panzer company I've always wanted, and I can play 7th AD as well! Meanwhile I can sell off the bits I don't want on e-bay.

So, does anyone else have experience with these models and does this sound like a good plan?

They can make a good substitution. It’s like pulling out Star Wars Minis to play and Imperial Guard Unit. They work, but some of the purist out there may look down at the practice.

I am a Furry that plays with little Toy Soldiers; if you are taking me too seriously I am not the only one with Issues.

Well the "purist" Historical gamers already look down on FoW. But hey, they are welcome to buy me minis then if it's such an issue! They can play a game or go home.
