Hi! After the second half of January there will be some new minis available. The most important release is the ALEPH Starter Pack, because it means we have a new faction available. In addition to that, there is a new variant for the Ariadna Zouaves, a Zouave with Heavy Machingun, a Bagh Mari with Multi Sniper rifle for Panoceania, and an Anathematic with Plasma rifle for Combined Army.
ALEPH Starter:
Zouaves HMG:
Bagh Mari with Multi Sniper rifle:
Anathematics:
I'm lovin the ALEPH Starter pack so much :3
You will find some more info and more photos at Infinity's website.

I can only hope this means the Zouaves are going to get finished out, with all the weapon options.

Woohoo! A non-Avatar TAG for my Combine. Love it.
The ALEPH stuff is cool too... kinda Star Wars Droid looking. I like it. My Warstore pre-order for all the Human Sphere stuff shipped today. Maybe I'll do a review when it all gets here.

First thing that came to my mind when I saw the minis was Ghost in the Shell. That "Asura" mini reminds me so much to that animes. The Dakini Tacbots are quite oriental too. Well, the full game is quite oriental-looking, but I think this army is going to be still more "mecha". And Ghost in the Shell. And Ergo Proxy. And...
That review would be great ^^

I'll probibly be getting a few of these guys in the next couple of months. Great find!
Can you use Evangelion, or Mecha guys to fight with these guys for tanks?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

Damn, but I love the Combined Army. They're what the Tau auxiliary troops should be. Infinity figs are simply mind-blowing.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

I don't understand your Question there Grot6... do you mean can you use TAGs as the primary assault force? If so... then yes. But remember to include some cheaper models as well to build your Order pool so that you can actually activate it more than a couple times.
The 'Link' ability for some of the Sectorial troop types will make these TAG lists more viable as you'll be able to spend a single order to activate linkable troops to perform the same actions. That will mean you can actually use these cheaper models as more than just cheerleaders and they'll get all the benefits of a combined order (only generate 1 ARO etc.).
I'll post up a review when I get my hands on the book. Should hopefully be by weeks end if Neil gets it to me quick.

The more I see these miniatures, the more I want to try the game. They're superb, visually. I need to think of a way to work them into my 40k army.

Well, be prepared to pay about a hundred or so bucks for a squad of ten figs dude. Putting these guys to the field in an 'army' sized force will cost ya.

Yeah, I had noticed that. I'm just looking for a spot to swap a few in. Maybe a character or two, or a vet squad. Who knows? I certainly like those snipers better than the ratlings.
Though they don't fit the aesthetic of my army at all.

Good question. Even if it's rethorical (my sarcasm detector doesn't work very good in english). None of my Infinity minis came with stuff for the base so I guess this mini will follow that path. Anyway, if the sniper Zouave didn't came with decoration for the base, the bare mini glued to the base must look quite weird. The guy probably will look like lying in a hammock... without a hammock

It's not sarcasm, I'm just wondering, seeing as some of the models shown have certain poses that rely on the scenery attached to the base.

I love that they finally came out with a new Bagh Mari model. I have the first one and it's my favorite so far. Even if it is in pretty much the same pose as the croc man sniper.
That Anathematic is cool enough that I might have to order that just to paint.
BrookM, I haven't seen any in person that had to have specific basing in order to make the pose work, but I suppose a few of them might.

Actually......yes, the miniature will probably come with the base detail. The last one (Zouaves Sniper) came with the base detailed scenery, so this is more than likely to floow suit.
Impressive me thinks.
Infinity seems to go fro strength to strength in miniatures terms, just when you think this has to be the peak of production miniature sculpting, the next months offerings blow your mind even further. I still need to get the expansion book, Human Sphere, its on my list for next year ( a few days from now in fact )

They make some beautiful figs but the game looks more expensive than 40k....$9 - $30 per fig, no thanks. Is the game a skirmish game?

Yep, it's a skirmish game, a starter with 6 minis is ok for a game. I think the average number of minis is between 10 and 15 per army list. Individually the minis are more expensive, but the armies are much smaller, so I think that finally is cheaper than 40k or Fantasy.

Sheesh Malfred, there's just no pleasing you is there!
But yeah. They do suggest(and I heartily encourage you to listen to the suggestion, as it makes the game far more fun) a lot of terrain. As in Cities of Death levels of terrain, whether it be a forest, a swamp, or whatever you're fighting in. One or two trees and a wall isn't going to cut it.

You can see a couple of our games and how much scenery we used HERE and HERE....
You want dense (not too HIGH) scenery. Any really high pieces will cause ARO nightmares if they can see the whole table. Dense (not necessarily Urban!) are the way to go.

About an hour... hour and a half?
We played this game regularly this summer, so we had the rules down really well a few weeks in. I strongly recommend writing or using someone's Scenarios if you're going to play this game though... as playing the basic rulebook scenario gets very boring very quickly.
