This is the start of my Raven guard army im awaiting a few things in the post including an jump pack chaplain,assault squad,scout squad,combat squad and grey knight arms im also planning on ordering the raven Guard dreadnought from forgeworld and the red scorpion vanguard veterans.One thing im not doing is hand painting emblems but i heard a nice little rumour that the IA book features Raven Guard so hopefully i'll see some transfers and brass etching and also just maybe some rhino doors but we will have to see.

If you didnt quess the grey knight arms are for my normal assault squad a little background fluff for that is in order, i will hopefully be littering this blog with bits of fluff so you've got alot in store.

It was during the lengthy siege of Vokon IV that the Raven Guard where called upon by the Inquisition.It was in the late years of the siege the guardsmen of the catachan fire devil's where brought in to be part of many gorilla actions that where meant to bring about the weakening of the chaos held space port but to no use it only spurred the defenders on.The inquisition then called upon the might of the grey knight but even they could not breech the space ports mighty bastions.The only way to breech the walls was to plant several thermo charges on certain support beams but to do so would need speed and stealth with no other option the Raven guard where orderd to carry out the mission.The raven guard where thinly spread and could not spare much from their armies but the could muster enough remnants to form one assault squad they where sent to the planet and carried out the task with the upmost effiency,they also helped push back the chaos defenders by countering raptor raids and destroying key defensive positions.At the end of the battle nearly all of the catachan fire devils where dead including four grey knights and their commanding justicar.The Grey knights thanked the raven guard by gifting them the weapons of the fallen grey knights the raven gaurd also took with them 5 of the remaining catachan troopers to join the scout squads of the raven guard there skills in stealth would be of value to shrike and the rest of the chapter.


Short i know but you get the picture i hope to improve my fluff writing skills over the course of the blog i was thinking of maybe doing two five man squads with the grey knight weapons but ide have to think up some more fluff for that as that extra squad will be the one based on the red scorpion veterans with jump packs from forgeworld.

Good ideas, but am unsure if grey knights would give nemesis force weapons to normal marines. I mean, they go through decades of training before they are qualified to use them. Maybe have a couple of grey knights formally seconded to the chapter?

Your right but what if i said that the grey knights also said that the squad are now "on call" and must drop anything to fight for the inquisition if there skills are required.
Im trying to theme scout squads around worlds or themes catachan,nobles,rogues you get the gist i hope it will allow for some unique models

Hey guys look what came in the post !!!! Ive also managed to put together one of the assault marines so enjoy.He's a simple conversion mainly just posing and adding a trimmed down chaos head , i created some extra power cable with some guitar wire and a skull. so i hope to do a larger update soon

Well here we are guys my BIG update

Well i got the scout squad done they are former catachan soldiers from the Catachan fire devils,They where recruited after the rest of their regiment was destroyed.so here we are hope you like em

Oh ive modeld them so that i can count them as certain special weapons youl see a flamer,sniper and rocket launcher as well as the heavy bolter!

While your fluff about the GK would never happen, it is very interesting. And I do love those Grey Knight arms lol.

The mold lines really stand out on the flamer especially but I assume your going to take care of that so keep up the work .
