If a Stompa Could Can Kanz?

Seriously, though - I'm looking at trying to make a fairly large number of Kanz and #1) I hate large metal models in general and #2) I hate the way the Killa Kanz models look. So I'm looking at trying to convert Kanz from other things. I got to looking at the Stompa model and I'm seeing some potential for making a slew of Kanz from it. I mean, it's got a ton of various weapons, glyphs, and gubbins for them, right? But what about things for the actual body of the Kan?

I'm hoping that some of you out there with Stompa models can answer me a few questions:

1) How does the size of the Grot Water Tank Gun compare to the size of a Kan?
2) How does the big bomb compare in size to a Kan?
3) What about the barrels of the big guns? How do those compare to the diameter of Kanz?

I know the feet and head are too big to be of use for Kanz, but are there any other parts that would be particularly useful?

Water Tank Gun? Do you mean the Kan Tower(it's official name according to the GW site) on the shoulder?

They can be any size really, depends on the mek who makes them, if you wanted you could make a couple larger than others.

Heh. I suppose since it's called a Kan Tower, then it's probably just the right size for a can then?

What about the other bitz, though?

The gun barrels and Rokkits are all about half the width of the tower.

I've heard that a large portion of the Kan bits are acually in the Stompa sprue.

It can work for Kan. I made one but just found it to a bit big so made it into a dread.

No idea about the Stompa kit, but if you need some easy can-shaped bodies for Killa Kan scratchbuilds, get some of those little orange prescription drug bottles, cut them in half across the middle, and bam, you've got two durable plastic cylinders of the perfect size.

It helps if you have a dad with high cholesterol, so he gets a new bottle every other week, of course...
