Not too bad for forgeworld either
Ordered on the 24th and it turned up thismorning.
It actually turned up at just the right time, since im now housebound for a week

Havent been feeling well for the last few days, so saw the site doc, and found out i had swine flu lol, so its not all fun
So, just got the slaughterer turn up, cant leave the house for a week, seems like a project to me

However, due to feeling like complete gak, dont expect me to work my ass off on this

all ive done tonight is given it a quick wash with warm-ish water for the mould release.
Ill clean up the parts then wash it again tomorrow then i can start

But, since its just mean to start a P&M thread without pics:

I apologise for the 1st few pics.
Even with the cam on macro its still picking up fuzz (actually had it sat on the desk, so it wouldnt move)
I think i need to play about with the cam, try and get some better pics.

Edit: Quality wasnt too bad.
Minimal flash and no bent parts.
All parts present.
There are however a few poor parts, like a huge scratch on the carapace (will be GS'd)
There are also a few lost details around the cables and bodies.
Nothing that cant be fixed though

Thanks gaz
Ill be running a 1mm brass ros through each talon to give them a bit of strength.
Ill also remove the bottom 2-3mm of each talon so i can base it (and make it more stable and less fragile)

Dont even know the rules for em lol, impulse buying.
I saw it, i wanted it.

Metalli: I ordered on xmas eve though mate lol, im still in shock it arrived before feb
All in all, i think they have actually improved a bit........ not much, but a bit.

Meh, atleast ill go down with a virus related to my beloved bacon if i do lol.

Are you sure that the scratch isn't actually meant to be on there, as molded on damage?

But either way, the Slaughterer is gorgeous.
And yeah, their shipping is improving. They've kicked Royal Mail to the curb and are using courier services in place.

Im sure mate, actually flicked up the 360 view on FW to check lol.

May keep it as battle damage though and add some more.
Maybe the fethers wont strike again? (doubt it)

After looking at this model i love it even more, and im tempted to get a small unit of 5 together.
(2 standard, 2 impalers, 1 converted with a big gun )
If i like the looks of it i may think about the scorpion next

Hehe, I couldnt resist after I looked at the pictures again >.< Its just so awsome and will be a nice addition to the Warriors... Any idea on how long it will be till this thing is fully built and gets paint on it? Or still hard to say due to your sickness (which sucks btw... sorry to hear about the swine flue)

A GW editor used to have an allied beasts and warrior army a while back he published in WD.
It was huge, and had 2 war mammoths, ill have to dif out pics since the guy really went to town converting them. (cutting and re-posing limbs lol)

With any luck mate, ill have it cleaned up, undercoated and possibly a few base colours by tomorrow night.
I plan on making sure i get it undercoated though.
also, ill be putting it together before painting, but leaving the head, arms and shoulder guards off for paint.

I know EXACTLY the army you're talking about.
I saw it in one of my White Dwarfs just the other day, I'm looking for it again.

Well, I've been reorganizing my mess of a living quarters and things keep appearing.

I found a signed Apotheosis collector's edition. That's pretty nice to find, right?

Pft. I can do better than original Necrons.

I found an original issue, 1985 Star Wars: Return of the Jedi Luke Skywalker on Endor figure, still carded the other month.

Promptly sold it for nearly $300 and turned around to buy an Infinity rulebook

See, that's why it pays to, when you're young and find deals at the flea market, to hide things in cubbyholes and get ADD'd into something shiny.

Decades later, you find something you can sell!

Im lucky if i can find my car keys when i need them
May start stock-piling my armies though, rather than selling to start new ones.
