Nerd modifiers:
1+ For each game that is nerdy you play.
That would be 4 for me at this point.
0.1+ For each game you used to play.
I still play all of the games.
0.3+ For each game book/booklet you own. (this includes rulebooks, codex and quickstart rules)
5.5 at this point for me.
0.2+ For each type of dice you have.
For me, I own 20d, 10d, 4d, and some 6ds. (7.5 now)
0.5+ for each MMO you play.
I don't play any.
2- If you are younger than 25. (5.5 now)
Now you should round down if you have an extra 0.5. (5 for me)

If you count all the games I used to play, that's more than ten points all by itself. I'm probably a 15.

Can I just say that I'm off the chart on codexs alone. Tad concerning.

Wargamming rulebooks puts me over 30 on their own, if we are including RPG books I just hit 300 and burst through the other side.

I practiced writing in Tengwar at 14yrs old in 1973. The Nerdom only got worse as the years went by.

I'm an 8, however I don't consider my self a Nerd I'm more of a Geek. Needs usually tend to be increased in the academic department, such as math where I am not.

Do Avalon Hill Games count? I am assuming kids games don't.

You might as well put out a poll for Dakka users who can read some English and are not 100% blind. I think we can comprehensively catch everyone.

The trst for nerdiness is heavily skewed, how many gamees you play and rules you have only scratches the surface of nerdiness.

Yes. You also have to own a copy of The Emerald Tablet or Overlords Tower.

What happened to 6 and 7?

After trying to recount all the different games I've played and different books I own I just put myself down as a 10. I really don't need a test to tell me I'm a nerd. I already know.

I counted any nerdy specific video games you play...like World of Warcraft or most MMOs.

Not counting all the books I have in .pdf form, I'm at a 9 (Having like 10 different types of dice helped). I think if I added all my .pdf files, I'd be well into the 20s...

With dice alone I hit 5, then if we add WHFRP books we go past 10, then there's the different versions of 40k and Warhammer with codexes/army books, other rpg's (from original D&D through to Bab 5), other wargames rules (from Warmachine through to Flames of War)... Now been gaming for 30 years, I think I'm off the scale

There should be a modifier for any and all cosplaying ever done...I know it's not wargaming related, but I'm currently dressed as L from Death Note thanks to a white long-sleeved t-shirt I bought specifically for that purpose.

I have 11 diferent dice and about 70 dice altogether.
Play dnd, lotr, wh40k.

The list is endless.

Yeah, the 0.5 per book will catapult most gamers off the scale.
