Subject: My first Tyranid list with the new dex. 2000points.

This is my first attempt at a list from the new dex. It is designed to have sort of a two pronged assault. You have the Genestealers, Trygon, Zoans, Hormogaunts, and Gargoyles held in reserve. You start with the Tyrant and two tyrannofexs on the board. Turn two goes off and the hopefully most of the reserves come in. The Hormogauts use the trygon tunnel in later turns. Thus I have a MC gunline that cant be ignored coming from the front with more then enough firepower to deal with tanks, and a threat within the other army itself that will absolutely destroy any troops the other army has. Gargoyles will be objective snipers, Stealers will either outflank, infiltrate, or come throught he tunnel depending on opponents set up, Gaunts will either come in on myside as objective grabbers or in the tunnel to eat some people up in CC. Trygon will try to target tanks and tougher troop squads. Zoans will obviously go for tanks.
Any and all help is appreciated!

I know you cannot assault out of a deepstrike role but hopefully the stealers will outflank or infiltrate and the gaunts will be able to assault out of the tunnel. The gargoyles can shoot right off the bat though.

Not a bad plan and a nice overall list.
My 2 cents:
You can really lose the adrenal glands on the genstealers and gargoyles, with the 50 spare points, put towards something like regneration on the big things or upgrade your trygon to prime and get the extra shooting attack and synapse

Change Adrenal glands for Toxin Sacs on the stealer whilst the adrenal glands on the Gargoyles are pretty pointless they should be MC hunting with the toxins and binding venom.
Stealers lack a little punch at only 10 guys and no Broodlord. Rememebre tyhe Trygon has to come up first for the other models to use it's tunnel with only 1 this is unlikely to actually happen. Particularly with that Tyrant adding 1 to reserve rolls the Hormogaunts are most likley going to have to walk on from your deployment zone...
Make the trygon a prime to improve synapse too, remember though synapse isn't quite as important in the new list as your shooting units will shoot and your assault units will assault, that just means you have poor LD and no fearless. It doesn't stop you all together like in the previous codex.
I'm surprised how many poeple (myself included) are overlooking Warriors and Raveners with 3 wounds and a Prime in toe they are pretty effective troop choices these days.

What are you going to make them out of? I'm trying to come up with a good solution to this without buying the oh-so-expensive bio-titans from forgeworld.

If I were you, and you really wanted to get your pods, deepstrike, burrow, flanking, infiltration units in turn 2 and 3, I would trade your Tyrant for the Swarmlord, for his special rule to add +1 to your roll for Reserves is awesome for bring those units in right off the bat.
Personally, I would trade the Trygon for Mawloc, due to that fact that the Trygon for its first turn becomes a magnet for fire when it can't do much after entering the table. However, a Mawloc benefits from entering the table and can do some nice damage to any unit it comes up on.

Marlocs are great when they arrive next to useless after. Trygons are ace but need to be used in pairs and DSed carefully put them infront of the enemy lines and they'll be gone befoer they get to do anything. Prime are eth way forward too as they are Synapse and have a longer arnge meaning they can fire when they DS in and remain out of rapid fire range and generally a bit further out of the way from the reprisals.
But if you are just going for 1 then Marloc is the better choice.

For you the Mawloc, and I would drop old advesary for hive commander. bring in the burrower faster. Also outflanking with a unit of hormoguants is another thing to make your oppenent sweat a little.

Yeah you need this, I assumed Old adversary was the +1 reserves ability (not quite used to the names of the abilities yet), it is the best ability always take that one particularly if you are taking Trygons/Marlocs (counts double for Marlocs).

Old adversary is the preferred enemy one. Maybe Ill swap it to the Reserves one. The thing is, if my trygon gets shot up, they havent done a great job at stopping the 3 mcs with tank popping guns and 20 wounds total coming at them, and also the 3 zoans in the pod.
The mawloc is BLEH to me. Pops up for one blast then dies.

The Marloc will do everything you've just said the Trygon would do if it wets popped on the turn it arrives plus any damage from it's arrival shot.
What 3 MCs are you taling about that can pop tanks and have 20 wounds? The 2 Tyranofex can (have a total 12 wounds) but the S9 blast Heavy Venom Cannon (with another 5 wounds total 17) won't worry anything with AV13 or higher and due to being 1 shot and blast won't significantly worry AV12 either...

Sorry, I meant with his guard. Also I dont have to be shooting av 14 all the time, especially if hes focusing on the Trygon which means I may get some side shots.

That really depends on your reserve rolls and sorry but the hive Tyrant won't even be much of a worry to AV12, AV13 will laugh at him.
In this list I'd target the Tyranofex first and then maybe the Trygon when he turns up (though I'd probably look to down him with just weight of small arms fire) and pretty much ignore the Hive Tyrant other than in CC he's not a huge threat and he's footslogging so I can take him out later or just avoid him.

Yeah the Zoes are pretty threatening when combined with a pod I think we'll see lots of these units used by many Tyranid players. Penetrating a LR on a 3+ is just scary!
