I've been collecting the bugs for a good 12 years now, since the first standalone Codex was released. Got a lot of nostalgia for the Genestealer Cult, which is currently residing unbuilt in a box. My main focus is a splinter fleet of Behemoth, which has absorbed an Eldar Exodite World. Got a side project of an Orknid army, which I'll open a separate blog about at some point.

It started off with looking at the second Tyrant figure after the 3E revamp, and deciding to go for a Geiger-meets-Jurassic-Park look. In time, I decided that this could mean an Eldar Exodite world had been consumed, giving rise to my 3E Zoanthropes. Eventually, tactical necessity plus the starting of my Cult project called on me to start putting the Genestealers from my Space Hulk '95 box to use, and right now I'm putting together new units to adapt to the 5E Codex.

To start this blog off, I'm just going to pop my current Gallery pics in this post, soon to be joined by some home-made Hive Guard and Pyrovores.

Dammit Robin, I spent ages on those

Both the painted and unpainted Heirodules were sculpted with Milliput, though I wouldn't recommend it - since getting more proficient with Green Stuff, I only use Milliput for building body shapes and putting Green Stuff on top to sculpt details. Milliput has a tendency to break at the edges, and is a poor weight bearer.

ummm wow just wow.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Really nice both the painting quality and the dioramas. I like the purple and bleached bone-ish colour scheme too, I may have to 'appropriate' that!
