The point is that aside from the skull mask this new guy has the exact same equipment as an Eversor, because the Eversor was itself an evolution of the original RT Assassin model with that equipment. Every other Assassin has unique gear, but this guy just looks like an Eversor without the mask, because he is.
Ideally, he should probably focus on precision and stealth, to contrast with the Eversor's brute force approach, so he winds up playing differently despite being equipped the same.

Its basicly just the gun(ish) and black body suit (same body suit as every other asassin) that has a conection to the Eversor asassin.
Skull mask (helmet with loads of special functions) gauntlet, backpack, shoulder speaker, vials of enhancement substaces, and loads of special trinkets, compared to the Adamus assassins rather plain ninja style.

What difference does it make ? Ok, one is a super crazy drugged beast of war, and the other is some kind of hyper focussed beast of war ? Such a nice distinction....
Callidus is an infiltrator, vindicare is a shooter, and Culexus is a psy/ anti psy abomination
There were big differences, and even if I'm not keen on using them on the tabletop, Varus and I'll argue, Venenum in some ways have their own personalities too.
Cadmus is just lame eversor so far, although I'm expecting more info on him

I wasn't counting resin cosmetic transmog stuff -just the big plastic releases. The pads and hats can come out whenever they've got two minions free and an open block of time on a machine.
Proteus was the last kit announced, all that's really left is getting the Deimos Rhino back into stock on for regular sales.

I think they can squeeze in six more legion pads (or previews at least) before Christmas, or four if they rest in December. I'd hoped for something more than Proteus + assassin but hey, at least we can look forward to brand new stuff going forwards.
Looking like a fun Nostaglia week, we get to see Battle At The Farm, 2022 style, on wednesday's WH+ batrep and Land Raider Proteus starts selling on Saturday!
Any price estimates for the Proteus? I'm guessing more than a Sicaran, but less than a Spartan.. where will that leave us, at ~70€?
No, absolute silence about any rules. It was the same with Mechanicum book as well, though GMG did a full detail review about a week before anyone else received it.

I don't know how "competitive" they'll be (that always comes down to points), but they'll probably be a lot more "lore accurate". Your floaty Sicarans will probably be more durable than a Leman Russ, for example.

Well I'm doing a Sigmarine/Custodes thing, so probably won't do TOO many vehicles, if at all, if they don't mesh.

Define "usable". Most of the 40k roster is easily ported over and Custodes were very very good in HH 1. The latter part isn't a surefire guarantee that they'll be good in HH 2 but I'd be shocked if the army ended up being utterly awful.
It's a nice homage. Kinda wish they'd retained something like the shoulder pads and/or the clawed feet thing. It's a bit bland as it is (and I'm usually very much a 'less is more' guy when it comes to the amount of detail or 'bling' on a sculpt).
It's better than clawed feet. The RT assassin had geta and tabi (or flip flops and socks if you want to be less presumptuous). I painted mine with white socks and red slippers.
Mine had black synskin and red geta. He also had a red shoulder pad and some green painted on the bits and bobs.
One year I put him in the church tower of my moms Christmas village and he just kinda ended up there as the Town Assassin. Now every year when my mom sets up her Christmas Village she puts the town assassin in different spots, takes a few pics and I try to find him. Its a fun little game. I wish mom kept all my other RT era marines and models. Man id be rich right now if I did lol.
I do like this re-imagining of the RT era Assassin. looks good imho.

The eversor was a sculpt of a picture Jes I believe drew. Mike McVey did a diorama with the eversor I believe to homage the artwork. Great pic and model. I didn't like the one holding up the ork head with the sword personally.
US price is $85 and Canadian is $100 which should make the UK price £50.
So cheaper then a normal Land Raider.... im down GW im down!!! I also hope this puts a price dent in the second hand market for the old RT era land raider. I love this style of land raider so much. Hopefully someone makes a Og spartan out of this and a demos rhino. That would be glorious.

He was holding a human / eldar head. When minis get alternate sculpts the alternates often seem inferior to the originals, this was the case for the assassins but it wasn't too bad, I somewhat liked them all and the Eversor was the best one.
