Well, without anyone posting the actual rules so no one gets in trouble, I was wondering if someone could explain the differences between the old forgeworld trygon rules and the new GW rules. I have seen the new GW barbed hierodule rules in apoc and the points, can anyone compare the old hierodule (barbed and sythed) to the tyrannofex (why GW didnt just make the tyrannofex a heirodule is beyond me). Same with Harpy versus Harridan?

For example, when I compare the GW apoc hierodule to the tyrannofex, I see that the hierodule has the same wounds, BS, attacks and save as the t fex, but 2 higher T, 4 higher S, 1 higher WS, and of course 12 s10 ap3 shots compared to 2 s10 ap4. The T-fex is, of course, ~40% of the cost of the hierodule, but the parallels are very strong between the two--making me wonder why, since GW made the 2 so similiar in terms of role, the tyranno-fex is so much worse?

In your head, screwing with your thoughts...

The forgeworld versions were not designed for balance in a standard gameplay scenario against an army without forgeworld stuff. The Tyrannofex and Trygon are now in the codex, and have to be balanced accordingly. Also I'm pretty sure the Harridan is bigger than the Harpy. (what a horrible name for what is essentially a flying Trygon, eh?)
