Here's my shot at that list you posted, trying to stick pretty close to your original plan:

It uses all the models you posted except for 10 marauders, and requires you to invest in a sexy new horsemen box.
LEVEL 4 > Better protection (3/3+ save vs ranged), and the puppet so he can keep his own 5-dice miscasts in line while messing with the other dude.
LEVEL 2 > Kept him unmarked so you can take fire magic vs the trees, and check this: with the book, he can actually take 2x fireballs

And then he gets the +1PD like the power familiar anyway. Lord's puppet hopefully keeps him from blowing his own face off.
JUGGER > Shield for 0+ save, and sword of might because this guy already has enough attaks, when the S6 will hurt big things more. He's got favor because I know I'd bet on him vs treemen and such.
DEMOHORSE > There to make the unmarked knights a little more hitty. Simple kit on him, with a biting blade to deny treemonic things their ward save. Could solo vs dryads.
WARRIORS > Slaanesh, and rapturous to lock down vs anything that beat them, ensuring you get to flank next turn.
MARAUDERS > As posted, I say keep these flankers / baiters / light combat too. Slaanesh for
Ld antics.
HORSEMEN > I agree, you could use more reach + speed to tag woodies. These guys are pretty staple light cav.
WARHOUNDS > Nice
KNIGHTS > Half of them are crazy because the jugger they're escorting is crazy too, so why not? That unit is horrific and will kill probably anything that it's allowed to touch. The other unit is more tame, and escorts the demo-exalted. Still a hammer and tough, but not as cracked out as the frenzied ones.
GIANT > I say keep him! And convert him awesome!
