Ok so I decided that after sitting in a box for a few mounths I wanted to play a 40k campaghn so I thought up this really easy way to paint the tiles

first prime grey


then a complete wash of grimstone syphia make sure to cover the tiles in it


after drybrush codex grey and fortess grey on the rocks


for simple rock works great
but for other tiles such as

lava

or...

get creative this is just to get you started when mine is all finished I will get a pic up

OH! That uh, one thing, that GW released sometime last year...I think. I forgot about that.

I'm honestly a little surprised at how good just a simple wash over gray made that desert tile look.
