Is the markerlight carried by a Tau Shas'ui Stealthsuit classed as a battle suit weapon for firing purposes?

If so can I add a multitracker to a stealth suit so he could fire the primary burst cannon/fusion blaster and the markerlight on the same turn?

Since he picks up relentless via the jetpack and that allows him to fire heavy weapons while moving can he still JSJ even if he fires only the markerlight? if he fires both weapons?

No. A Markerlight is not a Battlesuit Weapon.

How do you come to that?

I ask because of the implications this can have on Broadsides and their Railguns.

Page 25 lists, very explicitly, what Battlesuit Weapon Systems and Battlesuit Support Systems Are.

You will find a distinct lack of Markerlight or Railgun (yes, RaW, the Railgun on a XV88 is not a Battlesuit Weapon System).

I don't agree.

Page 25 doesn't list ALL the Battlesuit Weapon Systems in existence. It lists the ones we have access to through the Armory.

The Tau battlesuit railgun is described on page 27 along with the other weapon systems.

Multi trackers say that battlesuits can fire two "battlesuit weapon systems".

Page 25 shows a list of items broken down into battlesuit weapon systems. Markerlights and Railguns are not on the list.

Because of this, a broadside with a multitracker cannot fire both its railgun and SMS or plasma in the same turn, and a stealth suit cannot fire its markerlight and its burst cannon or fusion gun in the same turn.

the INAT faq changes this rule, allowing suits to fire any two weapons, and it is listed in the INAT faq as a "rules change"

Runnin up on ya.

Steelmage is right; the railgun is considered a battlesuit weapon system and is listed as such but is not purchasable separately...it'd be kind of cool to have crisis suit mounted railguns though.

@lambadomy,
The railgun is a battlesuit weapon and is listed under the armory on page 27, it is not purchasable separately so is not listed with the other purchasable weapons/wargear on page 25 but it is included with the rest in the following pages.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

Where does it say this? Where, in the Tau codex, does it say "Railguns are a Battlesuit Weapon System".

It's listed on page 27 along with all the other battlesuit weapons and wargear.

It even uses the language, "The battlesuit railgun....."

Yes, because Fluff allows you to make rules claims. </sarcasm>

I notice a lack of a "A Railgun is a Battlesuit Weapon System" in that Quote.

Not sure the sarcasm is necessary; it's listed clearly under the overall heading of "Battlesuit Armory", not anywhere else (except the vehicle armory of course for the hammerhead).
Considering what other armies get away with, I hardly see this as a huge leap in deductive reasoning.
