You can't buy polymorphine apparently - some people in the street offered 'polymephedrone' but i've never heard of it.

The church is great dude! easily the match of what i had in mind when you first started!
Will it have a 'Manse'?

Ach....now you ruined her....and I'm not referring to the church...

Looking very good (church), one thing...the bell tower collapsed quite "organized" it seems...referring to the perfect edges there...but I bet you have a cunning plan already...

Again best healing wishes from my part...hopefully you're not traumatized to use not glue guns in the future...

Hey everyone! As is the tradition (two of us so far) when receiving something from the right honourable Camkeirhi (i hope i'm saying it right in the video!) you gotta post a reaction pic/vid on his right honourable blog on dakka, so here is mine!

Its a rather long video because i kept getting lost in looking at it....

Spoiler:

i love the collapsed section of the church/cathedral - this is one of those terrain projects where each peice has a story to it and i love it!!
Really badly want to have a game on it..

Great work on the church, Cam! I've tried to do a ruined wooden floor like that before and never could get the look to come out right. Building the model like the real thing would be done (with joists) came out looking extremely realistic on your model, because that's the way a carpenter would put it together! I don't know if I'm going to live long enough to try all the techniques you're demonstrating!

Thank you all.

@ Mad..Thanks bud much appreciated.
@ Vik, Thanks bud, and see below.
@ Sir Donlad, Thanks for the comments, and love the vid, watched it several times already, love the look on your face, worth the effort. Wife and I LOL'd when you chuckled a couple times in the vid. Interested to know how you feel now after it has hopefully sunk in, and you have had a day or two with it.
@ Shas Thanks bud, very much appreciated.
@ Theo, Hopefully not quite as bad! Thanks bud.
@ Meer_Cat, Thanks bud, and I aint nothing special bud, your skills are pretty mad, this is easy stuff.
@ Yorkright, Thanks sir.
@ Geifer, Thank you very much sir.

OK Thanks everyone, now a couple bits to go over, lets start with that tower Vik...

And use the bits you cut out to add to the rubble below...

Next Priming.
This is the paint I am using, any acrylic will do, this is just what I happen to have.

Mix is probably close to 6 parts white, 2 parts black, 1 part brown, 1 part PVA. Add a dash of water.

After hand brushing this over everything except the wood, I then put a black wash into all the corners and with my cheapy airbrush catch all the recesses. Then Drybrush the lot white. Quite a heavy drybrushing.

This is now at the stage I would call "primed", ready to start painting.

Quick little shot of one of the windows in situ...

Thank you all for looking, and feel free to comment.

you probably never will know how much i look forward to your next update..and then the next..and so on...

never lost faith....and you deliver...looks absolutely stunning and a heck of realistic!
i recently go me a foam cutter set...and at first i only worked on hills and such...would love to see a bit more in-depth tut on how you really made those brickwalls...the wire i am able to use would only make me able to build small and short wall sections...

windows came out great by the way!
i have recently got us a sector imperialis and with all these wall and window sections i am thinking making this effect here for the windows...:

http://www.bildburg.de/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/bleiglasfenster.jpg...

i know you did that really beautiful ruin with the casket back then...but i am lost on how to start with these little GW window frames... (probably old age and whatever else made me loose my wit when it comes to scratch building^^)

Thanks everyone, really appreciate it.

@ Vik, Thanks sir, will give a run down on the walls with the next lot I do shortly. These I have used the aluminium mesh, going to try some more with them yet.
@ Gits, Thanks bud.
@ SD , Next week! don't have to wait that long.

OK, Got a little time today, got the basic painting somewhere near half way. still a fair way to go, but can start adding details now.

First up after the grey ...washes, couple light brown washes fiollowed by a black wash, here you can see contrast..

The black wash is ragged, i.e. I bathe the surface with black wash and then "rag" it off with tissue, in a stippling motion, careful not to take too much of the black away.
Plain wash..

Stippling the rag..

Gives a nice mottled effect.

Might want to wear gloves for this...

Then hit it with another heavy dry brush of white...

Then a complete covering of a grey wash and a black watery wash.. and the green tide mark around...

And a bit more washing and some gravel and general work and here we are,

Got to work on the joints where they all join, and still lots to do yet, can start adding details now.

For now here are a couple silly shots..

Thanks for looking and please feel free to have a close look, still WIP but by all means point things out if you don't like.

And on today's episode of home improvement...

I especially like the information shots, the last three pics...you really get a feel that way how you're pushing everything...looks fantastic...the green is still a bit cheery in places but that'll change in due time I am sure...

Why my stuff probably will never look as stunning as yours is because of my laziness...all these trillion of coats...in washes or drybrushes really make the difference...

Welcome to High Gothic Emperors Flip It. This episode run-down church. Luckily churches are always on the buy-in in today's imperium. You literally can't lose money fixing up an old church.

The walls are full of character but old and overgrown with moss. The roof is new, but shot too high heaven, but what appears to be the average PDF accuracy.

The rubble is quality in this shindig. I can see a couple banners, and a statue of the big man himself and this place will do great for the 4 arm emperor of mankind. (lovely church, and the windows are good.

Those 'atmosphere' shots are just fantastic. Not a thing silly about them. I really like photos like that.

Now my fellow class-mates, funny thing is, on his commute to and from work, Professor Cam drives by a church that looks just like that, only not so ruined. (I'm just guessing. The UK is full of churches like that.)

Too many years ago, one of my art teachers taught the class to paint what we see, and draw what we see. Cam is building what he sees (I think). It works magnificently. See class-mates, learn from the professor's example. This is how it's done.

Now we need to pester Cam to build a 1/50 model of one of those cool Scottish Tower Houses. And not a ruins either. And with a proper interior.

Cam, will there be ivy growing up the exterior of the walls?

And perhaps a rabbit hole somewhere

Thank you all.

@ OMN and Red here you go, a little progress....

Roofing...
Made a simple mould with plastacine and knocked out a few resin sheets of roofing.

Snipped it up and stuck it to the timber frame...

Started a coat of paint..

And getting there...

And did a little more to the other bits as well...

You may have noticed the mushrooms...
