Things you will need:
Small Circular Magnets, approx 1/4" in diameter and 1/8" thick (I got mine from Michaels)
3/16" size drill bit and a way to use it (drill gun, pin vise, etc.)
Plastic cement or plastic glue
Sharp Hobby Knife
Superglue or Greenstuff
Staples
Wirecutter or old scissors

Step 1:
Glue the two halves of the cruiser hull together. Wait until they are dry before proceeding.

Step 2:
Drill two holes completely through the cruiser, approximately in the center of where each battery or component is located. Make sure you are drilling straight, so that the hole exits on the other side in roughly the same place. Using the plastic cement to soften the edges of the holes, or a sharp hobby knife if neccessary, pop in the circular magnets. Superglue them in, if desired. Be careful when putting them in, because they can stick to each other and make it difficult!

Step 3:
On the backside of the component, scrape or cut a small furrow laterally in the middle. Cut the ends of a staple off, and put the shaft in the furrow, affixing it with greenstuff or superglue. TIP: For launch bays, you may have to cut a piece of old sprue and glue it into the back so the staple will have something to adhere to.

Step 4:
Mix and match your components to your cruiser's STC! Want a Tyrant class? Double up the macrocannon batteries on each side. Want a Luna class? Throw on a lance battery with the macro cannons. Paint the components seperately, so they don't get stuck in. Get more out of your expensive cruiser kits!

Hope you enjoyed this, or at least found it useful!

Until next time,

Hey great idea. thanks for sharing that. I never would have thought of using staples.

And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
the band is playing somewhere and somewhere hearts are light, and somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout but there is no joy in Mudville — mighty Casey has struck out.

Very nice...I would apply the same technique to my space marine fleet...if we had options

-Any terrain containing Sly Marbo is dangerous terrain.
-Sly Marbo once played an objective mission just to see what it was like to not meet every victory condition on his own.
-Sly Marbo bought a third edition rulebook just to play meat grinder as the attacker.
-Marbo doesn't need an Eldar farseer as an ally; his enemies are already doomed
-Sly Marbo was originally armed with a power weapon, but he dropped it while assaulting a space marine command squad just so his enemies could feel pain
-Sly Marbo still attacks the front armor value in assault, for pity's sake.
